Yeah, I've got like sixteen of the Dominion/Cardassian lockboxes sitting in my inventory right now.

Some old news: The ships that are available via lock box on the consoles are now available on PC via the infinity lock box. If you are not aware, when STO is ending a lock box run, they would activate all the previous lock boxes from the past. Now, they combined all of the those into the infinity lock box. This go around, the Galor has been replaced with the Keldon and the Jem'Hadar escort carrier has been replaced with the T6 version of the Dreadnought carrier. The T5 dreadnought has been removed from the lobi store and replaced with the T6 version of the escort carrier.

Some new news: There is online voting going on via the forums, facebook, and twitter for the next anniversary ship. They are doing it much like the way they did the Fed carrier. This time around though, the voting period is for 24 hours and is a single elimination format. These designs are indeed unique. I would suggest checking it out.

I wish they'd included a color palate so we could see what the proposed ships will look like.

They did the same thing with the Fed Carrier. Though with those, you already knew what the colors would look like.

That's what I'm saying, though. I'd like to at least see a color palate to get a better idea of what these sketches might look like in-game.

Meh, they all look way too advanced for a civilizations first foray into deep space. People on the forums arguing if it should be a T6 battlecruiser or a heavy science ship - it should be Tier 1!

While on principle, I would agree, remember that the Lukari are getting support from the alliance. Normally that would go against the Prime Directive for the Federation but, that went out the window when the (I believe) Tholians attacked the system.

Also from a business stand point: If they did a T1 ship, no one in game would even bother and it'd become a waste of resources.

I'm looking forward to the new story line and see what rewards they have in store for us. I'm hoping that this story line is well done and comprehensive. To me it doesn't seem like that has happened lately or am I wrong?

It STO well done and comprehensive will NEVER happen .

Unless you count the nickel and diming of you fine people in other words the charging small amounts for many made up services and in game purchases that have no real world value.. that they are Masterful and comprehensive at

I do abhor the freemium model in games. More so for games you have to buy and still have micro-transactions in them. At least STO is free to play nowadays, so micro-transactions are a given.

Yeah, nickel and diming is the norm these days. The Old Republic is far worse than STO. I did like it better back before PWE and F2P where the items in the C-Store were merely cosmetics. That being said, at lease with STO, you don't NEED anything from the store or chance boxes unless you are one of those min/max type of player.

Yay a new patch with loads of issues (note the sarcasm) I'm having trouble with one of my kits. I have a Kit frame with modules still inside of the frame but can't get them out. Is anyone else having similar issues?

I thought STO couldn't do anything worse with the ugly stick. I thought I'd seen it all. Then came the Sphere Builder ships...

Well in celebration of Star Trek's 50th anniversary, STO has tried to reproduce the graphics of the old Star Trek anniversary game ;)

In all seriousness, the new update resets all the graphics settings and it seems it also kills all the text off the menus. To get the text back you need to open in safe mode.

As many times as they hit the ship with it, you'd think they would have broken the stick.

They already have a fix for this issue for the patch tomorrow. Release notes here.

Ok, so the text is fixed but the resolution is still dead. The setting to fix first is under Display, set Resolution Scale to 1.

Also, small giveaway:

From now until Saturday 10/29 at 9AM Pacific, you'll have the opportunity to log in and receive a reward pack filled with the following items:
• 1 Large XP Boost
• 3 Gamma Duty Officer Packs
• 1 R&D Box
Please note: this pack can be claimed once per account in the promotions tab for characters at least level 10.

Well, thankfully, you do not need to use those nacelles. They are like the ones on the T6 Excelsior variant which I do not use either.
