• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Like it or not we all knew that they would find a way to bring the JJverse to STO. I guess the writers were trying to find a "plausible" way to tell the story and now we will learn how this comes about. It is different after all, it could have just as easily been the mirror universe although that has been done a lot and perhaps to death.

To be honest, I am ok with this. (Don't hate me Hellkite). I have enjoyed the new movies. I do wish Into Darkness was a bit more original though overall I did enjoy it.

I think you can get away with just doing the episode with the unique rewards IF you have already played through the story arc on that character. Could try it and see when it goes live.

Cryptic is about to bank some serious money!

Introducing the Kelvin Timeline Lock Box

Lots of stuff coming in this box with a different ship for each faction. Feds get the AR (oh, excuse me) Kelvin timeline Constitution, KDF get the Bird of Prey as seen in Into Darkness, and RR get a new Kelvin timeline carrier. Feds will also be able to buy the Vengeance from the Lobi store. There are also some ground gear you can get.

They're probably using the scaling given by JJ or someone working with him on the show rather than trying to make it match the original.

Been having fun opening Infinity lockboxes. Got ships I'm satisfied with already, so I've been trying to get more bridge officer training manuals so I can equip more of my toons with kemocite.

As far as the featured episode replay event goes, yeah, you can just do the last mission in any of the episode lines to get the unique item. I had three Delta toons from 2015 (yeah, I didn't end up deleting them) and they didn't have the Ophidian Cane or the Shard of Possibilities, so I went ahead and played "Night of the Comet" and "Kurland Here", I mean "Boldly They Rode" three times to get them their stuff.

It's lovely, looking ahead, and coming to the realization that I'm going to have to do the "Kurland Here" mission all over again when I start leveling up my TOS toon.

Does Agents of Yesterday (or whatever) launch tomorrow or was that delayed a couple of weeks?

That's some impressive stats for the Kelvin ships... I may have to keep an eye out on the exchange for the Connie...

EDIT - My God!!!! I've just seen some footage of the Kelvin ships. The phaser effects are impressive. The Connie is about the size of a Sovereign. The Vengeance is so big that it's saucer is about the size of a Galaxy!!! The Romulan ship is just as massive (and still looks like a giant Death Glider)!!! I can't believe that Cryptic went with those scales, the Vengeance just looks silly!

I think those are the official scales for the JJ-verse. It's ridiculous, I know.

It's a proven fact that every time someone says "I can't believe Cryptic...", Cryptic, in fact, did.

Do you have to be a certain level with a TOS character before you can go to Risa?

You have to be at least level 10.

Ok, I think I found a bug then because my TOS character is level 20 and can't go to Risa

Today's game patch will fix the issue with 23c characters not being able to visit Risa.

its already at the roof, so this will certainly break the dilithium exchange. its cool and all but i doubt i'll ever get one. i'm not a crafter by any stretch (maybe I should be!) and im not prepared to spend money on zen for a long shot at it!

I know what you mean, I'm tempted by the Thrace (Defiant) or the Fearless (Prometheus hybrid), but at 12" I suspect they'll be somewhat pricy.
