I'm thinking we should all build our own fleet on STO.

Fleet Leader: Majestic (obviously)
Fleet Name: (discussable/free choice)

My preferred position: Front Line Combat Ship

What I think we need:
- Resource Collector (someone who hunts down valueable parts and components specifically)
- Borg Hunter (We need someone to get us some Borg stuff! Because I myself have been frustrated trying to fight off Borg and unable to exceed a Sphere in combat)
- Klingon Hunter (We should have someone who can either hunt a lot of Klingons or supply us good Klingon Parts. Because there are plenty of useful traits with disruptors.)
- Front Line Battle group (These are the people who go searching for fights along side completing the main stream campaign)
- "Dilithium Miner" (The purpose is obvious)
- Advanced Weapon builder (Takes the research resources collected from fleet members and creates things such as Quantum torpedoes or other advanced weaponry you normally couldn't buy)

Baseline Policies (other rules can be discussed):
- Any items that we do not need that can be useful we deposit in the fleet Bank.
- Items that are of lower level than the lowest ranking fleet member should be recycled by anyone's replicator.
- Those who get excessive surplus of energy credits should deposit a sum (not necessarily all) into the fleet bank to help those who are not doing so well.
- Any rank Lieutenant or higher should be able to withdraw and deposit
- Any dilithium that is not used should be deposited (if possible) into the bank.
- dilithium withdraws must be cleared by MSFC
- All questions among the fleet should be sent through the mail system especially clearance or private matters in the fleet.
- If a version of a standard weapon in the bank with special traits is not being used. It should be deposited to replace the standard version.
- To reduce consumption slot usage, all stackable items must be stacked.

What do you guys think? Additional rules and conditions can be discussed. But I'd like an STO fleet of just us.

Love it :)
But I still learn how to play STO so I'm not specialized yet. And I would like to collect dilithium to exchange them Cryptic points to buy some fancy ship. Only about 300.000 is needed :D

I've already been planning to make a fleet, SciFiFan, Katala and I have just been waiting for more MSFC members to start playing the game, a min of 5 is required and we only have four atm:

  1. Majestic
  2. Katala
  3. SciFiFan
  4. Excalibur

If only more more member could join and add us we would be good to go.

Love it :)

Majestic and I are still learning too, we have only been playing since last week and have not yet reached Commander but are not far off it either.

I have been playing for 1.5 years so I know quite a bit. Also, I have been keeping up with all the changes that have occurred. I have one character that is a master crafter so she can be the fleet crafter. To create the fleet it is as Majestic has said, we need five. To take this further, we need all five on at the same time and teamed up. Those five can be the "Founding Admirals" or "Fleet Council" or whatever. Once the fleet is created, we can design a fleet logo and set up fleet uniforms. The logo can be displayed on the uniforms and ships hull. As for a fleet name, I had just assumed we could go with MSFC. We can determine what the acronym stood for. This is of course open for discussion. If any have any questions regarding the game, please ask them here or pm me and I will be happy to answer as best as I can.

I like them both.

Unfortunately, we will be limited to designs they already have. They have talked of adding the ability to upload your own but, that is waaaay down on their priorities at the moment. :cry2:

MSFC should be the fleet name, that is the name of this site where we all met and MSFC doesn't stand for anything anymore. It's the site name itself.

I've added you (@zaxxon88), also even if you don't stick with it I hope you'll help us form a MSFC Fleet, we need five players all on and in a party at the same time. A real pain in the backside to be honest.

I would give it a shot and at least get to a Lt Commander or Commander before deciding.

Well, with my new laptop, I really have to decide if I want to spend my time playing games I couldn't before or modding... It is a hard choice for sure.

@scififan

Thanks man, I will try to log on and play some more when I have enough time. It is a pretty steep learning curve for someone who has never really played an rpg before.

Tell me about it, STO is my first MMO/RPG Online. The only other RPG I've ever played was KOTOR/II on the Xbox back in the day.

Hmmm.... we need a definite scheduled time. I can only be online from 2:30pm to 10:30pm GMT -5. How about we schedule some time in that window?

Star Trek Online is my first MMO as well. I will tell you like I told Maj and Katala, If I am on, feel free to ask me any questions. I will answer them to the best of my abilities. If I can't, I have friends that might. If I am not on, ask your questions here. :D

That is 8:30 am to 4:30 pm for me here in Texas. That would mean most Fridays or Saturdays would be ideal but, I can be on no earlier than 3:30 my time any day. That would give us an hour to set up.

I actually think that Gamer and I are in the same timezone, in which case it is US Eastern time. I don't think that 2:30 pm is 8:30 am your time.

Anyway, I am usually available from 9:30 - 11 pm every night, after 5 on Fridays, after 5:30 on saturdays, sometimes in the after noon on Sundays, and maybe some times before 5:30 during the week. (all in my time)

So I have a lot of times I can get on, just not a lot of time per day.

Yeah we are on roughly that time, however after this weekend that will change and only one of us could get on at that time depending on the day as we start Tech/Tafe and do alternative days. However one of us can always log the other on just to set up a fleet. After next week we will only get on together during our evenings which is your early morning and on weekends (USA Friday and Saturday) which ideally would be the best time to set up a fleet.

If we can get at least 4 of us on at a time, then I may be able to get one of my other friends to be a stand in to get the fleet started. Then we could send any other members invites.

Sounds like a great idea. Perhaps this weekend? (USA Saturday, which is AU Sunday) at the times we mentioned earlier that we are all on?

Attention all perspective MSFC Fleet members. We would like to meet tomorrow to form the fleet. Meet on ESD #5 at the fountain outside of Admiral Quinn's office. I will be on at 7:30pm CST (CST is GMT-6). Majestic and Katala will be on as well. If you are interested to be in the fleet, please join us at that time. There are a lot of benefits to being in a fleet. We hope to see yall there.

That will be 11:30 A.M. for us. Please use this calculator if unsure what time it is for you:

Once you finish the tutorials you'll be sent to Earth Space Dock, it's not that far from Admiral Quinn's office. If anything you may need to change the instance you are on, which is on the top right of the screen, it usually says Earth Space Dock #12 for example, click on it and section change instance.

On another note John th'Majest (my character) is now a Captain.

Well, sorry for not being teamed up earlier yesterday guys... I was in a mission and I just couldn't get distracted. (Those Reman D'Deridex variants are HELL!)

Now I have achieved the rank of Captain. And still within my first four weeks of gameplay. I'm guessing I could be "skilled" to some degree... either that... or I am just rankup crazy. I still have the USS Polaris but right now its sitting in wait at the shipyard while I get to try out my brand new Exploration cruiser.... USS Eternal Solstice!

btw... if anyone wants some plasma torpedoes for Commander+ rank. I got some MK VI's. I also have Quantum torpedoes for those that want them.

I however am looking for something of interest, I need Borg components. I'll easily trade a torpedo launcher for each. Or 15000 energy credits each.

I am also looking to update to newer Quantum torpedoes, if anyone has some between VII and IX. I'll take them happily.
