• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

I personally received an email from Doug a few weeks back about my SOTL Status. I was planning to break the news after the Holidays, but I this is a good time as any to set the record straight. In short, it's both bad news and good news, so don't break out the champagne just yet.

Firstly, I didn't make the cut for SOTL. The reason was, apparently priority was given to other entrants, who in their defense have been waiting or held up too long as well. Another reason was the Seeker model itself, which barely made the grade when viewed in their intended Ultra 4k res. But the good news is, Mr. Drexler has kindly reserved an open slot for the Seeker, or any future design for the next Calendar. Which is good enough reason for me not to get too discouraged.

On one hand, I'm a bit disappointed, yes. But no one has ever gotten something as huge as this right the first time. There was bound to be some stumbles and I know kjc and Hellkite know full well about my behind the scenes technical struggles. ;)

I actually learned a lot with my correspondence with Doug. And I think being personally able to interact and get feedback from him is already huge honor in itself.

Sorry to hear of this Jet, I'm sorry the Seeker did not make the cut this time :(

But your right it is remarkable to have one on one correspondence with a man that designed three Enterprises and to be on short list for the next calendar is nothing to sneeze at .

I guess we need to redouble our efforts then and fine some way in hell to get you a better computer Jet.

My takeaway here is that Doug wants the Seeker on the calendar. You didn't make it this year, which is unfortunate, but you've got a whole year to get it ready for the next round. Keep at it, all of you, and good luck.

I am with Hellkite and Cabal on this. While it is unfortunate that the Seeker didn't qualify this time, the fact that it is wanted is of itself a fine accomplishment. I will be eagerly watching the progression over the next year and wish y'all the best of luck.

Guess I'd better start on an ultimate version to blow his socks off then. Considering it started as a mesh for A2, it's not a bad showing.
