• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Hello all,

For the next few days you'll probably find Katala and I are rather distant, short, perhaps a little snappy and such. This is because we have started going through IVF to have a child. The reason for this apart from the obvious of wanting a child is that Katala has no tubes thanks to a Doctor from the past removing them instead of cutting and blocking them so they could be reversed down the track.

IVF was really our last choice in the matter, we both want to have a child or two together. Kat isn't finish with having kids and I want a couple of my own. So after a year of sacrifice saving pretty much everything we can, including our tax returns we started IVF. Unfortunately while we got one perfect embryo and had it implanted almost two weeks ago, we lost it. It did attached and for a week we were pregnant but it wasn't meant to be.

We are quite saddened at this and are currently mourning this loss of our Daughter (yes we are 100% that it was a girl). We ask that if you could please be patient with us if we get stroppy and apologize in advance if we offend or overreact in anyway.

Kindest Regards,
- Katala and Majestic

CABAL

I am really very sorry to hear that buddy. It is always sadder to mourn what could have been than what was. You are both in my thoughts. Stay strong and stay well.

I am very sad to hear this. I know you both wanted this child, and I feel she would have had 2 of the most loving parents on earth. I know it is hard, but be strong. Perhaps it was for the best... At least you know your daughter now will never know the pains sometimes known in life. She will never risk cancer or know terror. All she will ever know is pure love.

As she looks down from heaven, she asks God, "Father, why is Mommy and Daddy crying?" in a confused voice. God smiles at her and he picks her up and sets her on his lap. "They are crying because they don't get to meet you and tell you that they love you... yet" replies God.

Thank you all for your kind words. We are going to take a little time. Kat even had a dream that she woke up from where she started to bleed. We believe that was the exact time she lost the child. Kat spoke to her and she said "Don't cry mummy" she had brown curly hair and blue eyes like her mum. Kat also said that the name Aysara pooped into her mind constantly.

I'm so sorry guys, I wish there was something I could say or do to make this easier for you both, but healing from this kind of pain can only come with time. If either of you ever need anything, we're all here for you.

My thoughts are with you both, stay strong.

As Maj has said, thank you everyone so much for your support and kind words, we both greatly appreciate them, I have been so lost the past few days and just basically losing myself within myself and not really taking note of much else, along with the emotional heart break comes the physical pains as a constant reminder of what has happened, I have really only now come out of the distant zoning out stage but am still not quite with it right now, Maj has been a great comfort and wonderful supportive husband.

We have both decided that to help us through this we are going to create our own special work of art and have it printed on canvas in remembrance of our lost daughter Aysara.

We have not given up hope yet either of one day being able to have a child, despite how difficult our journey there will be and will try again in the new year.

I hesitated to reply to this, because there are no fitting words for something like this. Please accept my condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My deepest condolences to you both. My wife and I also suffered through a miscarrige about 3 years ago. Like you we only knew we were pregnant for few days but it hurt almost as much as if we had lost one of our sons (then 3 and 1). Even though we became pregnant again a fairly short time later we still think about our little girl who might have been. The "perfect" girl name we had picked before even having our first child became attached to that lost child so that when we did have our little girl my wife and I both agreed that name could not belong to another in our family so we had to choose a new name.

Our Samantha is with the Lord sitting on her Nana's knee (she passed away that same week). The pain may fade but the sense of loss and love never will. Let the love and not the loss guide you.

Rod.

Thank you Rod, I am very sorry to also hear of your loss. Kat and I have decided to do the same and not use the name for any future child. We have also decided to do an artwork in memory of her. We'll print it on canvas and hang it on our wall.
