• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Hey everyone, just idly curious if there's a space where people can collaborate on story-writing. I'm not seeing one jump out at me, but there's a lot of site to go through too!

Cool, found it shortly after I asked the question. Pity none are on the go atm... I love collaborative writing. Have done it a few times in the past; it's a good creative outlet!

Collaborative writing can be awesome! The problem is getting enough people to join.

Yes. Anything. Everything. All of it. Whatever gains some traction, but personally I like the idea where any participants are, at a minimum, captains of their own ships.

If you want, you can ask one of the admins to create a subsection for it. Perhaps we need a "General Collaborative Writing" subforum?

My suggestion is to start a thread in the fanfic area
In your initial posts lay down some ideas/rules/structure. We'll see if it takes off and if it gathers interest then we can see about moving stuff into a proper structure like the RP areas.
MSFC has quite a large number of sub areas and threads, so I would also suggest poking your head into the Shout Thread and the Chat just so others are aware that you're looking for interested parties.
