PS3 Soon to arrive, Are you Buying it?

The one question I have for you is, Are you going to get one when it's available near you?

What is the difference between the $499 and $599 configurations?
Both solutions include Blu-ray Discâ„¢ the latest in high-definition1 video, Bluetooth, four USB ports, 1080p video, and the advanced microprocessor, the Cell Broadband Engineâ„¢. The difference between them, however, is that the $599 system includes Memory Stick/SD/CompactFlash slots, Wi-Fi3, and a 60GB hard disk drive (HDD), whereas the $499 system comes with a 20GB HDD.

Sound like they copied the Xbox 360, with the two different versions.

I won't be buying one, at least not for a few years. I have personally have always pefered the Xbox over the Playstation.

I have XBox 360 adn I won't get a PS3 you cna be sure of it not bacause I don' wan't if not because money

I myself don't think I'll be buying one until they are under half their release price. For that price, I can get a fair PC upgrade.

The PS3 has been laden with problems from the start, whilst the games on the 360 aren't too enticing for me...

Yup, that's right, next summer I'll be emptiying my pocket of money for a Wii and a Twilight Princess.

I agree the current games aren't all that good currently for the 360. I only have 4, and they are the 4 I bought at around the time of the systems release. I am just holding out for the new Halo games.

Well anyway off-topic and getting on, anyone knows what are the game coming out for PS3 ATM I only know a few one of them is called mhh Assassin's Creed, Virual Tenis 3 thats all on Gamers magazine...

Disturbing News about the PS3 Release!

Well, I hope none of you were out waiting in 3-day lines. The PS3 was released in North America today at Midnight local time. However, with the "Big day" came some bad things. First thing, Sony only released 400,000 copies of their new beast-machine. In the USA alone, there is over 300 million people (I'm not sure of the populations in Mexico or Canada). So, Sony planned it this way, to net them a quick $200,000,000.00.

No to add to that, There are reports of violence linked to this day. There was a "Drive-by" shooting injuring a few people and a reporter. Also, there was a gun fight at a Wal-Mart store over this. And, there was even people robbing people as they come out of the buildings with their PS3!

This type of stuff makes me sick! I hope none of the members of this community were involved in such things. If you want a PS3, you may want to wait a few weeks. Sony should be slapped with a fine/Federal investigation for being at the base of the problems with their 400,000 copy release.

I work in a Wal-Mart and we got a grand total of 2 PS3's, both of the purchasee's were excorted out of the store by our in store security person and five other store associates. I personally will never buy a PS3, I am just now getting up the courage to get an old PS2 or one of the new ones, used if I can find one. And that is just so I can play FFVII, FFX, FFX-2, and FFXII.

I totally agree with the fine/Federal investigation should be done. I never liked Sony personally, and now my doubts have been pr oven.

I am not a fan of Microsoft either, I think windows is absolute rubbish, but their Xbox has also been a peered choice over the Sony system for me.
