• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

This weekend, much of the US and all of Canada is experiencing a deep freeze the likes that have not been seen in about 40 years. Temperatures are dropping DANGEROUSLY low over the next couple of nights. Much of the northern half of the US can reach well below zero (F). Minnesota already cancelled schools for the entire state for Monday. Areas in New England are still digging out from a snow storm that hit last week. Temperatures here in Southeast Texas will be in the mid twenties tonight and then down in the teens tomorrow night. So all my MSFC brothers and sisters that are affected by this PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take proper precautions and keep warm. See you all on the other side.

Best of luck everyone over there stay warm and safe.

It's that damn climate change, we still have bush fires here ourselves. Our governments really need to start to be active and look at climate change and our impact upon the environment and do something about it, to stop it getting worse. I heard 2014 is going to be just as bad as 2013 in terms of climate change.

7 degrees Fahrenheit here in Colorado with about 5" of snow. Brrrrrrr. Guess the farmers almanac was right last year in predicting this year would see extreme cold in the U.S. Sounds especially brutal from the mid-west to east coast though. Stay warm out there

Keep safe, everyone.

About Climate change; It's expecting summer temperatures here in Norway this month, even though it's the mid of winter. Plus the heavy storms keeps on coming with more rain.

If anyone has to travel in the extreme cold, bring the warmest clothes you got. Even the most minor breakdown can leave you stranded on the side of the road. It gets cold super fast in the car with -30 windchill. Better yet, stay home. Roads are treacherous enough with blowing snow and large sheets of ice flying off of 18-wheelers. Saw a guy in a bmw skid accross 2 lanes sideways at 100kph last night. Somehow the guy managed to recover. Learned his lesson, drove along with traffic afterwards.
