Well, I had the textures/models set to low, and the screen size set to 800x600 and still couldn't really play the game, too choppy :x

Guess this means i will have to "steal" my friends computer that I am helping him build, it's got:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6GHZ
2 GB RAM
GeForce 7950GT or 8800GTX (he hasn't decided yet)
XP Pro SP2

Well, LT, your obviously not alone.

I was considering bying an XBox 360 after the first of the year. Now, I have a reason.

Sorry about the double post. LT, the reason your system can't run it well is clear. Your CPU doesn't meet the minimum system requirments of the game. This game has some of the highest demanding reqs I've ever seen. This is speaking of current "game-to-system" trends. It seems that games are starting to outpace PCs.

Also, the reason My system will not run it, is because of my Video card. It's considered the lowest of cards that are "DX9" cards. However, it supports SM1.0, PS1.4 and such. But, in tests, my card didn't do the trick.

Solution for LT: Get you a cheap CPU upgrade.

Solution for me: Upgrade video card. (I will be addressing this after the first of the year)

Yep, we've ventured too far from the topic of this thread. I will start a discussion thread for legacy, which will include technical support issues.

Now, we are watching for STL to be released on the XBox360 and in other countries.

After that, It's Star Trek Online we are watching for here in this thread.

Well the grapics aren't so AMAZING to lag the 360. Anyone who has it knows the power of the 360 and it is to hard for me to beleive that the 360 lags, maybe a script problem that is to heavy?
