New Name for BSG Addon

So for a couple days now I have been toying with a new name for my mod. I just don't think "BSG Addon Mod" is good enough. So, I asked around at Fleetops, and got a few ideas, but now I want to know what you all think.

Stated ideas include:

Fleet Operations: The Cimtar Accords
The Cimtar Affair
The Caprican wars
Craynnus Wars
Battlestar Galactica: 13 Tribes
BSG: Total War
Colonial Operations
Strategic Ops
Fleet Operations: The Cyrannus Conflict
the fight for survival
Cylonial Wars

And my personal favorite: Bill and Saul's Excellent Adventure



Most of these will have the title Fleet Operations in front of them, and this is how I prefer it, but if you can come up with something better without it, I am open to it.


Before you start thinking of generic BSG names(not that there is anything wrong with them) here is a bit of backstory for my mod:

The mod basically takes place around the time of the fall of the 12 colonies. It is somewhat of a "What if?" mod where we ask, What if there was a full scale Second Cylon War? Or What if Caprica never fell? and so on.

This has evolved to include ideas such as, what if the entire mod was based on the battles that took place during the Cimtar ambush(TOS), or even what if Caprica did fall but the fleet survived in some way?

How about something closer to the cylons faith for a title like?

Fleet Operations: Return of God's Children

Or perhaps just another Idea....

Fleet Operations: After the Fall

Though I think "Fleet Operatins: BSG" has a nice ring to it and keeps things simple and dosent make people who just stuble upon it wonder what it is.

Just thought I would throw out a few Ideas.

Though my vote goes for Bill and Saul's excellent adventure lol!

and the reason I am hesitant to put anything with bsg in is not because I don't like the suggestions, but is because the mod isn't actually based around the galactica. Likewise, I don't want something like Battlestar, colonial, or cylon ops because the mod is not limiting to either races(or even those already in FO). I wouldn't want the title to be either.

In fact - Aftermath is a cool name, no matter what... (not as cool as dinosaurJR, but I doubt that would fit a BSG - universe mod...)

So, yeah, were I you, I would go with

I'd say to make it plural, both sides broke their parts of the deal. Albeit with the Colonials doing it in a much smaller, just jumpin' across the Cylon border way.

Ok, final vote. I"m eliminating the two others leaving us with:

Fleet Operations: Broken Accord (I think singular sounds better for some reason)
Fleet Operations: Aftermath (kinda generic but sounds good anyway.)

So tell me which is your favorite!

I don't want to play a mod about a malfunctioning Honda. But Aftermath is generic and really doesn't suit it, either.....

Why not call it "Fleet Operations: All Along the Watchtower" or "Fleet Operations: Worthy of Survival"? Something actually from the series.

Also, I thought, if you don't want anything Colonial / Cylon specific, what about "Fleet Operations: Resurrection"? Cylons do it all the time, but for the rebuilding Colonials it could refer to the efforts after the Fall to rebuild their society.

Worthy of survival is quite nice, but I thought you wouldn't play a FO mod anyways StarBlade. I understand where you are going with Resurrection, but it sounds like a Mod exclusively for Cylons, even if that isn't how it is intended. Dunno, maybe I"m wrong though.

Upon creating my poll over at the other site, a couple more suggestions were added including, Beyond the Red Line and Final Uprising. Maybe selecting finals was pre-mature?

At this point the clear winner is Broken Accord, and I like it alot(because it gives me a nice back story to build on) however if y'all think its no good then maybe something else will have to do.

at fleetops its 8 for Broken Accord to 0 for Aftermath.

Beyond the Red Line gets my vote as I think that is more fitting for a mod that adds on to FO. Im kinda thinking this mod is gonna be set up like an expansion pack if memory serves corectly right?

Yeah Beyond the Red Line cuz anybody who knows the BSG RND will know what the mod is and anyone else will be sure to chk it out cuz it sounds cool...

Broken Accords sounds too political of a title to me....

That is kinda where I got the title Broken Accords from. I"ll give the same quote here that I did earlier on the other site.

Cimtar is a place mentioned in the Cimtar Peace Accord, as seen in a document held by the Armistice Officer on the Armistice Station. The peace accord ended the Cylon War, and the human's automaton creations, the Cylons, left for a world to call their own. The accord was later broken by the Cylons some 40 years later (TRS: "Miniseries").

'All Along the Watchtower' was a song that the Final Five Cylons had pretty much repeating in their heads. It was kind of the activation that let them know they were Cylons and not Humans like they had thought. But that's from what I remember, it's been a couple years.
