Hi all!
Right well as some of you will know, for all my modelling needs (aside from anything thast actually useful for a2 and legacy modding like exporting and HPing) i use Wings 3d, which contrary to popular belief i see as a nice little program for learning or just general low poly kit bashing, for me the danger with this program was that it became confortable - too comfortable.
How does this fit with 3ds max 9 i hear you ask?
Well, ive recently started to get annoyed with the constraints of wings 3d as i concede it is a limited program - but then its not meant to be the be all and end all
so, i have bit the bullet and bought a tutorial dvd for 3ds max 9 which covers all of its features, through that and practicing i hope to be able to move past wings and start some semi-serious modeling.
The point of this thread is to show off how things are going, as i like writing and it gives me an excuse to, and to hopfully help anyone in the same predicament. or just anyone wanting to learn how to use 3ds max.
hopefully this thread will evolve into a help thread and a general show off place for everyone
Thanks - and ill keep you posted about this tutorial im getting, Ive watched a few stages on youtube and it seems pretty good (Sadly they only have the introduction and "this is what these view ports are" sections of the video, but it seems pretty concise none the less)
