Thanks all :)

I hope to get it converted soonish. Over the next week or so if nothing crops up.

This STD looks good. what is the second one with those red stripes for ??

Hehe, I knew someone would ask

According to Wookiepedia (Imperial I-class Star Destroyer - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki), these ships served in the Clone Wars as large capital ships.

Now, I was always of the opinion that the ISD would predate the original trilogy simply because of their size and numbers. You can't make a thousand of these in a day, and it's a bit of a stretch to have them all built inbetween episode's III and IV; at least for me...

If they did serve in the Clone Wars though, they probably would have had Republic livery - that's my reasoining. I tried to echo the Venator in the design, but basically it's a quick and dirty retexture.

EDIT:

I hope that links okay, by the way. I only put it in to aid reference

Sweeet ISD! Gimme! Gimme!
The ISDs served at the very end of the Clone Wars indeed, but they missed most of the big battles, because they weren't finished in time :lol2:

There was even supposed to be one in RotS, but I believe they ran out of time and subbed it with a Venator model instead.

Beautiful work Amateur, it's a great model and texture there and an updated model fro A2 is well overdue.

Wookpedia is also a okay link.

Thanks all :)

I'm just going to leave a little something here...

Before, my old Acclamator class mesh and texture. Horrible isn't it?

Same mesh, new texture and UVW Map:

And a bit of fun attached. Large image, so be careful :)

 Stunning! I can't wait to see these firing their laz0rz!

Though I would think about the red markings on the ACCLAMATOR's hull, maybe add the canon stripe in the middle.

I would agree here, a Venator red stripe might look cool. :)

Its a beautiful model, but for some reason, I never felt any love for the acclamator. I reaally liked the venator though. *hint, hint*

:shock: +1 to you man. Those are better than most I've seen for EaW!:Y

Actually, I don't suppose you could do a wallpaper for me? I would love one with this ship, like you did the ISD a couple posts back. The Solid black background, or transparency, is actually what I like best.

Thanks everyone. In a way, I'm glad I didn't continue work on Clone Assault - if I had, chances are I wouldn't have been able to do textures like these.

Sure thing, couple of questions:

    1. What resolution?
    2. Acclamators and a Venator?
    3. Clone Wars or Galactic Civil War?

Won't take five minutes to knock out a scene :)

If anyone else wants one then feel free to ask. I don't bite :lol2:.

Oh thankies! I really like the transparency ones because they can either have a solid black background, or be open to adding one.:D They are just what I wanted.

Hey, do you mind if I post a couple of pics I made with those blank shots?

Of course. I hope to have them all ported by Monday. Set myself a deadline and everything.

I've shown off quite a bit of stuff in my time, but haven't really released anything. I'm trying to change that. Plus combat my phobia of texturing...

Sure, go ahead :).

As far as improving, I think most of it comes from both experience and playing around. I've noticed differences in textures made within hours of each other - if only because I've wanted to try a different method or change the layer order. Course, the problem is remembering it so that the ships aren't all different shades.

Still, all good fun :lol2:

Gorgeous pics, the ships look outstanding, I can't wait to download them.

Has there been any progress on your Ancient/Stargate ships? I thought I read that you'd finished the Ancient cruiser?

Very nice

I've not ported the Ancient cruiser yet I'm afraid. I'll probably get it done with this lot though. Makes sense while I've got ms3d open :)

As for the others, I've not made a start on any of them yet. There's a fair few that need rebuilding and reshaping before unwrapping - but I'm trying to save them until I'm motivated to actually give it a go.

If I don't, I just know that my procrastination/laziness gene will kick in and I won't make the effort .

Beautiful photoshop edits Adm-Z.

Amateur, I really am looking forward to these, also the Ancient cruiser as it too is top quality. For someone with a texture phobia, you do real quality work in the texture department these days.

As Terra said, Acclamator is up. I'm just finishing the Venator now.

ISD and Ancient cruiser should follow tomorrow. I still need to lightmap the Ancient cruiser and I'm planning a surprise with the ISD

EDIT:

I've just discovered that the Acclamator has incorrect material settings and may seem...odd in game. Please find a fixed .ms3d and .SOD files attached.

Sorry
