• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

No new models but many of my older ones I have started to upload on sketchfab as a bit of a portfolio and for people to be able to view them in 3d.

I am looking at getting to the point where I plan on selling my models as an additional form of income and thought this was a good way to start to get the ball rolling.

Feel free to have a gander if you're interested.

While a great idea as all of your models are fabulous and you defiantly need to show the world...I do wonder about the ones that you've already published, if you eventually put up for sale. Are you going to make the models different so people know they have the paid version vs the free version or are you going to pull the free ones down?

On a side, PLEASE post all your Klingon Ships. There are sadly not enough fan made alien ships on the market (both free and paid). We can't just have Federation ships floating around.

I'm going to update the saucers on the Federation ships, up the smoothness of them. Only the YY models, and the new BSG and B5 models that I haven't released yet are going to be thrown up. My older stuff is going to stay free. I put hours upon hours of work into each individual model especially the YY ones so if I can get a bit of a return on them great.

I won't be selling them on here, nor as Armada models. I'll be mainly focusing on non-Trek models to be totally honest. Probably B5, BSG and Star Wars for now. I've got little interest in Trek and far better modelers doing them than I.

I can only upload 10 models a month there so will take many months to get them all uploaded.

Count yourself a future buyer over here! I'm looking forward to your improved textures on the YY ships.

Love Sketchfab! And good luck with the sales! If you make your models STL formattable(no naked edges or overlapping geometry), you could probably open a Patreon for that kind of thing too. People shell out for repositories of 3D printable models.

Certainly something I should look into. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have officially, become a sketchfab store vendor. My models starting with my Babylon 5 ones will be available in the store for purchase in the coming days.

I have also created a shapeways store, however I haven't activated it yet. Still working out sizes/dimensions for them. Does anyone have any recommendation for dimensions? Popular sizes? Was thinking miniatures (whatever popular sizes that is) and a larger size perhaps for model display. Again anyone with recommendations?

I am also new to this, but that sounds quite reasonable.
