• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

I do believe it did...would it just be a matter of re-naming some files to get them working?

I don't know why but when I first saw this I stated humming "It begin to look a lot like Christmas" ;) think it is the running lights

Lol, now it's in my head too, thanks :lol2:

I think for the mini lights, you would have to rename the nodes......if that is possible with a hex editor.

Didn't Fahres light pack come with some mini lights you could use?

I'm not sure, however I do use his pack as they look way better than the stock ones.

I use Fahres' lights too. The lights just always look bad if they're big on a smaller ship.

The Enterprise was feeling lonely, so I gave her a fighter wing as well to give her company.

I'd say that most of those fighters are on detached duty to the Enterprise as she wouldn't have the hangar space for them. Even if you dumped all the shuttles there still wouldn't be enough space. A great image however, a very good one by far out do whatever I can do.

^ I know that's true. The Galaxy's got three nice and big shuttlebays, but there's no way she could carry a full compliment of fighters. This shot would have to take place during the DW era in my fan-fic. Enterprise may be powerful, but she's not stupid enough to scout anywhere flying alone

Any suggestions on the squadron name? The community fleet could surely use another fighter detachment.

We already have the Midway's Gryphons and the Ronald Reagan's Peregrine Wing.

Eh...truth be told, this was like a two-second-for-the-helluvit idea. Could think of a name though.....

How's about, Fighter Wing Delta One-Seven-Zero-One? :lol2:

EDIT: The RR has a fighter wing? Didn't know that, you should'a told me! Now I can have some more inspiration for shots

Made up a nice action shot of the Inceptor the dinosaurJR. Old enemies fight in even older ships. Obviously not talking about the Negh'Var :yum:

SECOND EDIT: Thanks for that Hellkite, 30-limit had passed for me, so I couldn't edit

Made a new shot with the Doc Rogers working with the AR Enterprise to take down a Fek'lhr-Class cruiser. The design seems to fit nicely as an AR Klingon ship

Yes she could :D

The reason I say this is I have copy of
star-trek-the-next-generation-enter.jpg

And if you look at Screen 5
whitefire-enterprise-ncc-1701d-shee.jpg

The main Shuttle bay most of that deck 3-4 and has a repair bay on deck bay on deck 5

So the Galaxy class can do a pretty good Galactica impression? Wouldn't this mean there might be some of them which are reconfigured to use fighters as their primary offensive weapon? It is an intriguing idea.

Yep that it could easily and some remember " TNG EP: Cause and Effect "

Data says that something is emerging from the distortion and a starship appears from within it. The ship is on a collision course with the Enterprise, just thirty-six seconds from impact, and the helm still fails to respond. There is no response when the Enterprise hails the ship. Picard asks for suggestions and Riker suggests decompressing the main shuttlebay, allowing the explosive reaction to push them clear, while Data suggests using the tractor beam to alter the ship's trajectory; Picard opts for the latter but just as Worf engages the tractor beam, Data is struck by a moment of realization. He deduces that using the tractor beam will not succeed and quickly decompresses the main shuttlebay. In space (now in view of the main shuttlebay of the Enterprise) the bay door opens with gas violently rushing out, pushing the Enterprise out of the path of the USS Bozeman,

Just think of the Volume of air it would take to push the Enterprise out of the way of a on coming ship on a collision course

The Carrier Air Wing Fourteen (CVW-14), is a United States Navy aircraft carrier air wing is attached to the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan.

Fourteen's fighter Squadrons are

VFA-22 Strike Fighter Squadron 22 Fighting Redcocks

VFA-25 Strike Fighter Squadron 25 Fist of the Fleet * a note worthy Squadron*

VFA-113 Strike Fighter Squadron 113 Stingers

On the Midway RPG I used the real name of the lead Squadron on the real USS Midway for most of her life "the Knights"

Made two new shots:

First up, the U.S.S. Phoenix-B taking on a Romulan Warbird. Affectionately named "Clipping Wings" for various reasons :D

ClippingWings.png

Next, the Ronald Regan, the Midway, and the Enterprise-D, leading Fighter Group Majestic with their formidable compliment of fighters. The capture of the running lights was intentional, hope they aren't that bad this time round =_=

I'm afraid I've hit another pothole in the proverbial road. With my school year finally coming to an end, I'm at the point in life to start looking for a job. The school year hasn't been that great, so as a result, until I actually get said job, I need to earn computer privilages back from my parents. Needless to say, it's gonna be hard for me to work on these pics without computer access. However, I did bring this on myself, so now I have to live up to it.

Doesn't mean I have to like it though, or that I'm gonna go quietly. :zipped

Saw the series finale for Enterprise again last night. It really wasn't the greatest they could have made it, but even though it just about stole the show, I believe its one saving grace is the appearance of the Enterprise-D.

When it got to the final scene where Picard, Kirk, and Archer say the famous line, I took a good look at the Enterprise-D, and saw a graphical error, the only one that has made me happy.

During TNG, undoubtedly for bugetary reasons, only one impulse engine was lit that propelled the ship. When computer graphics became more common use in DS9 and VOY, the Galaxies used all of their impulse engines.

The error that happened was this; when the Enterprise-D glides by for the final scene, when you see the reverse side, you see that all three impulse engines are lit. It's really a tiny thing, but it was enough for me to seriously leap for joy.

Made a pic just for the occasion. Silly reason, but I'm happy nonetheless :)

A plethora of new shots everyone!!! :excited:

First up, the AR Enterprise and the Doc Rogers launching from Starbase 192 to continue missions of exploration

ARLaunching.png

Next, the Borg Queen leading a Borg assault force to attack a race suprisingly resistant to assimilation, the Kazon

BorgAssaultForce.png

Finally got around to doing something with the Thunderous and the Zaxxon. They've been gathering dust in my install, the poor things :(

BSG.png

The DinosaurJR, Inceptor, Tempest, and Legacy make up on of Starfleet's most premier exploration task forces

ExplorationTaskForce.png

The Ronald Regan and the Midway on routine patrol duties, with their Peregine and Gryphon fighter wings deployed. Many thanks and kudos to Jetfreak for an excellent re-texture job of the Gryphon

ReganandMidway.png

Last but certainly not least, the Antaeus, Terra, and Phoenix-B rendevous with the Enterprise-D during the twilight phase of a nearby star

Another bunch of beauty shots guys!! Feds only though, I feel that the other few ships need some other form of pic than just generic beauty shots, especially the Borg Queen

Hope you don't mind me grouping the Midway with the Cloud-Class and what I refer to as the new Federation-Class, Majestic. They seem to go together as a family of some sort

I'm also planning on getting to that big logo shot at some point, but I'm in crunch time with schoolwork; Gotta rush, and hope I don't end up half-assing my work
