Soo... I am looking to see if any of you more skilled modelers might be willing to take this on? This is just a request that Hopefully would make it in my FO mod at some point. :) I am not skilled enough to do it and don't really have the time but I would be eternally grateful to anyone who might do it for me.

If you can model it but don't want to texture it that is ok, because I would like to use amateurs textures on it, which I can do myself pretty easily.

Yes Warb_Null's is pretty good. I have it on my to-do list however since you don't want to use my BSG models due to my conditions of use I won't offer. Not being nasty or spiteful as I am cool with that.
SO I would recommend Warb_Null's one. :D

Thanks I'll give it a go.
edit: well, the model looks great but it is a bit high poly. Can I edit the mesh at all? Just removing stuff like turrets and some extraneous detail.

Yeah, sorry about that. I would like to release it at fleetops and a2files, but if you finish yours before I finish the mod(which is likely) I will put it in my mod for the msfc release.

Do what you want but I think that you would be better served tring LODs instead:cool:

Well, none of my other ships are that detailed and I managed to get it down below 3000 so I think it is ok.

you should really do a guide on how to make LODs though. I for one would like to know how to do it.:yum:

You mean one of these:

I know you have Warb Null's, but this is just over a thousand polies. Made it a while back, if you want it then it's yours :).

YES. I would love to use that my friend, and I"ll use your textures from your other ships on it too. Will make a perfect addition I think.

@ starfox

I hope you don't mind, it is just hard to are hard to argue with that poly count. and it is nice for them to match.

LOL might I ask what else you have hiding on your hard drive?

If it isn't too much trouble, I would love both of those. I can't say for sure I will use them both, but I want to try and texture them and see how they look ingame.:)

@starfox

Those models are beautiful man, and I think FO could handle them too, but unless you got a venator and acclamator over there too, I think I will stick with using all amateurs stuff. I might use them for the heck of it, but I think in my mod I will be using Amateurs models. I hope you don;t mind.

I've got a few others. Tell you what, I'll zip up my Star Wars folder and send it along to you. Anything you want to use feel free to. 99% have no textures or even mapping co-ordinates; but all of the meshes are complete.

Give me an hour or so to sort them out an convert them, then check your PMs :).

That's awesome man. I think I can use the textures you have already released to do anything else I might need. As I said, I am eternally grateful to both of you.:ty:

I've actually been working on a SW mod for FO for a while now, using almost only amateurs work. I haven''t been modding for a while now, but I plan to get back to it. It seems I will be starting with this star wars mod.:)

http://www.msfc.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=3788&page=15

I had some lag issues too, which kinda helped me lose interest, so I think I will need to lower the count on my fighters and try to make them closer to 1000 or less.

Not that you'll be interested but I am going to be releasing all my Star Wars models separately after I finish texturing them.

It would be good to see a Star Wars mod.

Hey, I'll do as many versions as you guys want. If you got matching models I"ll swap 'em out and make a complete version just with your models.:) I love your work maj, I just want to make sure everyone can play the mod, so like I said, if your stuff is out there, I"ll use them too.

Remember, I am still using all your BSG stuff in my other mod.

Whoa...she looks good. Didn't realise I could model like that :D.

Plus I can't recommend Warb_Null and EvileJedi's models enough. No really, they are almost the definition of awesome. A bit on the high side in terms of polies (they're designed for different games than our old bucket of bolts after all!) but with the engine additions and streamlining that FleetOps brings then I think they'll really shine.

Thanks guys. I"m really proud of how this one came out. The next one is a bit more challenging, but hopefully she will come out just as good.

That does not mean A2 wont run them in spades like this 25000 poly ISD

I am not sure, but it appears that these two ships are roughly the same size. would I be correct in this assumption? It looks like their engine units are almost identical.

One of these days. I'm still not totally happy with the Turbo laser battery's fire sequining and I don't yet have any fighters done to go with her.

Thats probably a safe bet but I can't say for sure as I've never seen them on screen together.

I recently played lego star wars 3(a surprisingly good game. I got it for $5 on clearance) and I saw both of them in one mission. They appear to be the same size with different colored engine glows.(pics from youtube vid)
