• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

I thought this might be nice since it's been a long time since we had a poll. Please post feedback and lets get some discussion going. :D

Although if you wanted to look only at my current project it's about a four or a five with the number of ships I'm working with

I choose 3, for a few reasons. Firstly I've been in the A2 community modding since 2000, though I say 2001, as I had about a large break at the end of 2000 and didn't return to 2001 (September). Secondly, I have my ups and downs, times when I want nothing to do with it and others it's all I want to do. So I felt 3 was a good medium ground for me. :lol2:

I said 5, since I have a TC that I should be able to get out by the end of the year and another one planned.

It depends on the niche you have really. A2 modding has many facets big and small. You pick one that works and expand on it.

It goes without saying that I'm great with texture work and pics but that's a given.

On the other hand I'm not very good at other skill sets. I don't have the foggiest idea how to 3d model. I cannot for the life of me figure out how the AI codes work. I'm not very creative with making A2 maps either. When you look at it from a critic's perspective, most of my stuff is fundamentally derivative work (retextures, revamps and conversions). But that's just being cynical. Oh well...

I'd rate myself a hearty score of 3 in terms of ambition. :)

I voted a 2.

I mainly dabble with models now and I have uninstalled Armada to save room on my laptop. I rarely played the game anymore anyways. Now I am more trying to just make better models then maybe I will get back into modding.
