I've been pouring over my hard drive and realized that I never backed up my BSG stuff. Knowing that Filefront went kaput for third world countries, I can't download anything from them. Does anybody still have the original models from Coxxon? I'm looking for the Galactica and Pegasus with the turrets and other details. I'd highly appreciate it if you could drop me a copy.

I have them on my HD somewhere, tomorrow I'll look at uploading them and sending them to you. Unless someone beats me to it. :D

Which reminds me, I need to re-upload HRM at some point, just haven't gotten around to breaking it down yet.
I don't believe it has the higher poly Galactica, but I'm sure I have that somewhere...

Thanks Maj, looks like I have a lot of converting to do before they become pretty pictures. The HRM model from Thunderfoot had the visible turrets too if I recall.

After additional searching, I found a useable Pegasus model in Battleclinic but it keeps crashing on Milkshape.

Yeah converting it's it fun! :lol2:

Try this it's in MS3D format for you. I think there was an issue with the mod file as CV also wouldn't load it, luckily I don't just rely on MS3D when working on my models and my mapping software loaded it without issue.

Well I did promise pretty pictures. I've been slowly working on these for the past few weeks. Testing some new tricks here and there, a nice change of pace from my usual Trek images.

Thank you gents, the classic Galactica in particular is a real gem. If anybody still has contact info on Maudib, I'd really like to secure his permission for an A2 release. :D

Also, this post would not be complete without additional images. Enjoy!

Aye, the Mk7 gets an ego boost whenever she gets the classic makeover. Maj, I used your PSD's in fabricating a more hi-res set. I'm hoping to release it along with the Ares bomber when I get the time. I just need to learn how these hardpointing thingys work LOL.

Those PSD's only used coxxon's original layout. The rest was me. I found it was easier than try to and cut and paste parts for my Mk1 and so I did new textures for the Mk 2 and Mk7 models I did which are lower poly than Coxxon's originals. I never got to do the Ares bomber however. In fact if I recall I was planning to use Coxxon's design as a template to make my own design but never got around to it.

You're welcome to extract the hardpoint from one of my models and use it mate. No problems there. Just use the merge option and merge the model into the model you want to hardpoint and then delete the unwanted model and materials.

Hello:
Those are all great pics! I am glad Majestic has an online version of Coxxon's models, that surely can be a life saver :) .

Any idea of how would Coxxon's bomber be armed?

Yes sir, Coxxon's stuff is surprisingly hard to come by these days. The limited stuff at SFM is members only and with Frakfront all kaput, it makes for a dire situation.

Many people have said the Ares Bomber acts like a missile truck. The B-1R concept is a real life example. Festooned with long range missiles it can be a menace to opposing fighters.

These are some really nice renders, Jetfreak. How did you do them?

Wasn`t that the design we put together when we gave a nBSG-themed RPG a try? If remember correctly, I buildt the mesh and Maj greatly improved the textures afterwards.

Spot on that is your baby Intrepid, the Solaria, just given a tiny Majestic make-over.

Here is her re-design that I haven't finished aka textured.

Thank you EAS, that is the real deal Solaria Class herself. :)

I'm still using A2 believe it or not. Of course, there's a little bit of help from my trusty photoshop as well.

Hello:
Jetfreak's pics are always amazing to see :worship: . By the way, what do you use, maybe some blurs?

@Majestic: I had no idea you rebuild the Solaria class, the mesh is looking very good, very similar to the Pegasus (was the intention, I pressume?). I hope you'll give her the turrets she deserves:thumbsup:.

Thanks Chile, I did build here sometime back, she is meant to be a smaller (not by much though) but highly advanced ship, faster and utilising some advanced technology but couldn't produce the power requirements for a lot of the tech which ended up going straight to the Prometheus/Nova class. Only like 4 were built the prototype was lost but it's FTL drive failed and threw it 2 years away. By the time it reached home the Cylon attack was underway and due to having old nav software survived the attack and formed a resistance movement to fight the Cylons and their occupation of the colonies.

Hello:
Well, it seems you also have a custom BSG storyline, just like I have, hehehe. At this rate, considering all the fans out there, the Cylons might have not destroyed a single Battlestar at all :D .

But really, I am happy to see that ship has a very cool background story and I look forward to see her completed:thumbsup:.
