I think that Defiant is more than slightly stronger than stock if it were to survive an attack from a super deadly ship like the Cube. :p So I would def. say it's (the Defiant) God-modded. ;) But it's your rules. If you want God-modded ships in your mod, it's fine. :)

heh, well i am tryign to get it balanced before release. Its meant to be strong fast but low shield and armour strength.

Also, going up against a cube kinda explains the caption

Meh, the borg cube ingame was drastically weakened for the game anyway, and in no way represents the cubes in the TV and films, which were actually fearsome.

Besides which, it was stated in DS9 when the Defiant was introduced that it was designed to be able to take on Borg ships as part of the Federations 'anti-borg' defence....

True, it does. :p

Yet it were almost destroyed by a small Cube in FC (and would have been destroyed if the Cube's weapons were at full strength). :p The Defiant class is not the only class designed to go against Borg ships, though. But that is another story. The thing is that the Defiant can most likely take on all Borg ships alone, except for the fleet-crushing Cubes. :p

How was it a small cube - the linking thing to form giant cubes is exclusive to the games isnt it?
Why would the Cube's weapons not have been at full strength? The cube may have been damaged, but the borg have multiple redundancies - is it not said in voyager that damaging the cube is like scratching a holoplate, and doesnt actually cause any degradation?

Besides, as far as I can tell, only the Defiant and the Enterprise E survived that battle, and if IRC, the E turned up late to that fight.... and bar life support and shields, the Defiant was still holding its own...

Knight, I didn't talk about linking Cubes then I said the Cube in FC was small. The Cubes canonly comes in different sizes, and you can see it's a small one in FC (smaller than the one in BOBW) then the Enterprise passes it. And the Cube's weapons was weakened because it were damaged, and they don't use full strength then they try to assimilate a vessel instead (as full strength would have destroyed it).

PS.: Watch FC again as you have multiple errors in your statement: Defiant had lost weapons as well and were more of a wreck than a ship. And there was at least one Akira, one Sabre and one Miranda that survived as well. And I believe even more ships that I can't remember did so.

I think this stops here. It starting to look like it is becoming an Arguement, so no more Cube vs. Defiant talk here now.

Ok, this is Off-Topic. I believe the topic is about Jeddy's Legacy Pics. Let's focus on that. If anyone wants to debate what the Defiant was designed for, I welcome you to make a thread about that topic.

Already agreed to end it there lol. I've no interest in a flame war and as I've said to BQ, its been a long time since i saw FC, so shes probably a better source of knowledge about it than me. Anyone else wants to debate it, go start a thread, but leave me out of it lol.

Back on topic - nice work Jed. Though i still think the cannons look like theyre off a negh'var:thumbsup:

Next mission

My next mission, should i chose to accept it (Which i kinda have...)

Is to assemble to Crossovers fleet (or as much of it as possible) in Legacy.

what i have;

All the trek ships, mainly because it is after all a star trek game...

BC-304 (Pretty nice one too if i do say so myself!)

O'niell Class (Nice port, but the textures could be better...)

Glorious Heritage Class (Its an ok port...)

I'm also looking into a Whitestar and finding an Omega class (Is that roight wheller?) From B5.

this is just really for my own personal use, but if anyone can donate models or tell me where to find some that would be great :D

just let me know!

Also i'll keep the thread up to date :)

yes. Omega is a must.

repeat: A MUST!!! :D

a Suggestion though. stay away from converting the one on Bridge commander files. its not very accurate.

and the one on Armada 2 files is missing Antenna's so its not very accurate either

so good luck Jeddy.

The Textures colors aren't correct. most of the ship that is blue on the Model is supposed to be red, except for the engines.

also that Omega Model's Rotating Section... Doesn't Rotate. which looses a lot of points there

Wow where do you have the andromeda from? thats a must have for me.
Not sure about the scaling though. afaik the andromeda is approx 1300 meters, the asgard ship 1600 and the 304 370 meters

FahreS, I may note that I and a few others here play the Crossovers RPG. And we have different ships in it, like the Andromeda, the Asgard ship and the 304s you see in the screenshots.

In that RPG we use as canon specs as possible, based on the resources we use. The specs for the Asgard ship from those is 1,500 meters length. And the 304s are only at 225 meters by canon specs. ;)

Just check out the Crossovers RPG if you're unsure. :)

someone released a Battlestar on legacy files. so you could use that for the Ares

and someone released a Whitestar, also on legacy files, for the Houou

Just thought that the andromeda was kind of small.
I found out, that the andromeda is 1301 meters

and the asgard ship 1632 meters.

havent found the 304 yet :)

We use the series, and the Andromeda ship is 1,301 meters long in CO as well. Jeddy's ships are the same as those in CO, and he has to follow the sizes decided by the series and CO. The Asgard ship is 1,500 meters long according to the series, and the 304 is 225 meters long according to the series.

PS.: I must remove your pictures as they are hosted on imageshack and thus forbidden on this site.

umm im not sure about it really, as it was only a personal thing and i have no permissions (which is why its not on legacy files)

One thing to take into account is that the Oniell in the screen shot is a bit far away from the GHC so accounting for perspective its fine :p

pm me ur email and i'll email it to u if its ok with u.

Nice looking stuff you got there Jeddy.

As for the debate on the 304's size, according to canon resources, it's 225 meters long. (Which we make sure the CO RPG ships are to canon specs when possible). We try to be careful and confirm all material when possible since it's a fan-fic story that we want to feel "right".

About imageshack links, sorry, but they are not allowed here. Simply, I personally ran up against a virus on one of their ads. I made the efforts to contact them, only for them not to reply. So, since they don't seem to care what the ads have in them, we don't want to explose our members to possible viruses. We are still sorting through thousands of posts here on the site that have Imageshack hosted images. Give us time, we'll get them replaced. We do request that members honor the rules, and not post linked images that are on imageshack. We offer image hosting for use on the forums as well as there are several other image host sites out there.

Yeah that would be great, and dont worry about permissions, I wont publish it either.
