I figured since TF wanted me to participate more around here, I would try putting this up, if you want to see any more of my work, I'll gladly post more. :)

Bigger ones...most of my art is pretty small, due to working at 800% res. I do have a few larger pics, but I find that my quality seems to drop as the canvas gets larger.

Since you seem to like my art, I made this, based off of my Divinic Sigil design.
(And yes, if you look from the right angle it is Syf)
I think the way I made the background of my avatar transparent was with Gimp...was a pain in the rear though...

I like these. They are very different from what we usually see around here. And different is always good. More, please.

I agree, different they are, and good they be.

I am honored at the coincidence of your art resembling me.

Wow - seems like you've got a good eye for symmetry and a steady hand... Two talents that are very useful in the world of modeling / texturing...

*hint, hint*

I really like what you have done here...

Do you ever draw still life or any other subject? I think based on the above you would do really well.

I've tried still lifes, not really my cup of tea as it were. As for texturing, I'd love
to try that. Most I've ever tried to do is make a skin for my char on Minecraft.(Yes, it has me to)
lets see...I'll give you my "skin" as it were, I'm not positive that I'm satisfied with how it looks.
It was supposed to be one of those "Nanotech" types.
char.pngsuggest save and zoom in with your veiwer:thumbsup:
Edit: I have a really old pic I drew of a Flood-spore...I think I'll cam it up and
load it for your viewing pleasure.

It might not be your absolute favorite subject matter, but try downloading my ww2 warbirds model pack - it comes with blank textures that are ready mapped and the masks to show you were on each model the textures are applied, all you need to do is "colour in". Its a good way to practice texturing techniques without actually having to learn the difficult bits of mapping textures to the models...

Just an idea...

ah - I just remembered, you cant see the downloads section, huh?

Em... PM me with your email address and I'll email you it... (assuming the guys here are ok with me circumventing the DL procedures - it is my work, so Im in the clear, right??)

Yeah your work, so your clear, just use the PM as posting emails on open forum are against the rules, for security purposes.

Near the bottom of each post there's a pictures of scales. The weighing kind, not the fish kind. Click on that to add rep.

Anyway, nice pics.

Tyvm, CABAL, now I can add rep for all my supporters and friends, and of course people I support!:D
As for the forerunners "sentinel building station" Bungie has given us a glimpse;
one or 2 floating over one of the battlefields
SentinelFacilities.jpg
this is one without a background, great model
632px-Sentinel_Constructor_Facility.jpg
this one seems different from the previous type, not sure if this model was used.
Sentinel_Facility.jpg
We could in theory, build something based off of their design, and texture
accordingly, perhaps as the "fryard1" for basic combat sentinel types...?
And maybe the secondary type based on that last one, could be the "fryard2"
for the more....advanced sentinel types, such as enforcers or gaurdians?

New Glyphs!!
These are for my suggestion to CABAL.;)
If you don't mind, CABAL, I would like to try fitting these into your forerunner GUI example.
Sadly this means I will need to make them all have a transparent background,
which may take a bit of time, due to the corruption JPG format always seems to
incur on pure fields of color.
Engine.jpgEngines
Life.jpgLife
Life(S).jpgLife(S) - In this variant, the S in the glyph logicly
corresponds to "Support", and not "Lifes" which is nothing but a misspelling.

Cool symbols, each different enough to not confuse something familiar with the symbols upon a glance of them.

Given there are 26 base Divinic glyphs, the compound glyphs are fairly stable,
tho they don't work in relation to words with similar letters, as you could
imagine.
Unless the word is broken into a multi-compound glyph, would you like
an example of one of these? If so I'll need a fairly lengthy word, and another one
that shares about 90% of the letters...cant think of one off the top of my head.
:lol2:
Also, the word must be taken in context to the written sentence they are used in, as with many languages.

I challenge you... in Year 11 of High School (Second last year, as I know in other countries the school set-up is slightly different) I was tasked in graphic design to come up with an alphabet assignment. We had to come up with a symbol for each letter of the English alphabet all that fit in together.

Now if you want you could create your own alphabet following those same guidelines.

Already did, Maj, hence the "26 base glyphs", each one is counter to its English partner.
I made Divinic long ago, and I've used it quite a few times.
Divinic Codex+.jpg They are based on the circle.
The only difference there may be is the lack of case sensitive material, they can all be considered lower or upper case.
In the end, the compounded glyphs you see are actual words, instead of being spelled out, they are one symbol.

Hmmm....does anybody know of any good "character" creation engines?
Like the ones at the beginnings of MMORPGs?
If you built a good looking character, that would be considered art, right?
It would just need to be in the 3D section instead. :p

Yes it would be art. You could try either Daz Studio or FaceGen, the latter uses images of create faces, the former is a 3D rendering program.

Thanks for the suggestion Maj, I'll look into those.
On an off topic basis, I've been playing "Dark Void" for the last 2 days or so.
Great game, attached pics are shots I've found on the inter-webs, since my
X-Box 360 doesn't exactly support the use of the "Prt Scr" button.
Captions are for entertainment :p

Ok, here it is, I built it while making it on CABALs Forerunner interface
Weapon.jpg:excited:
And so, here is CABALs beautiful interface...with my glyphs...
The first one also has some garish layout work for the symbol meaning.
Iashars glyph version plan.jpg

Iashars glyph version.png
Yeah yeah:rolleyes: I know CABALs gonna come out and say
"I told ya so" cause my glyphs don't fit in so well as his.:lol2:
But hey, I figured it was worth a try, I kinda like how they look.

I really do like your glyphs and I'll have to find something to use them with at some point. However, if you check out the Halo wiki's article on Forerunner glyphs they don't really match at all. Of course, mine were all derived from the number glyphs because there was a measure of uniformity there and it sped up the creation time ten-fold so maybe I shouldn't be talking, lol.

Nice, someone else who uses the Halo wiki! I never knew that they had an
entire setup for the glyphs though, I'll have to go and assimilate this knowledge.
And then dissect it and use it in some form. :p
And thanks for the compliment, means a lot from you, you can use my glyphs on
whatever you want,(as long as ya keep me in the loop :lol2:),
I'll give you the full codec in this post and some rules it uses.
View attachment 5219<save and zoom in on it to see details if you must:thumbsup:
Ok so the idea is, each single glyph from A-z is based on the circle, as you
see it on the bottom.
This being the origin, they can all be combined back into a circle.
I will try to build a full glyph with each letter inside it, but it isn't always easy
to combine them in unique ways,on occasion you may have to break a large
word into its base, or root forms, to make it work. Ever read the terminals from Halo3?
Each word that was inside [brackets] had no direct translation, as such they
used the closest thing possible.
Every glyph can also be written in separation from another, in strings, like English words.
