• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

All you need is the textures for the ship and the SOD. The rest anyone can do mate. If you can get the ships in game then you can certainly get a ODF done. Just copy another, rename it and edit it.

Also check out starbase34.net, it is one of the best online resources for modding the game and getting stuff like that done for beginners.

I dont really need that, I mainly need a workable ODF, i tried to make my own and failed
MSFC The link is to my TOS Adversary Pack here at MSFC. Maybe the one I did for the TOS Warbird will work?

As to the HP Map TSK made for you, I find these very useful. Keeps the phasers from firing out of the shuttlebay and such. I also think maybe you should thank him for the time and effort he put into it to help you out. He's pretty smart about A2. After all, he was the Team Leader over at StarBase34 on the Comp Mod. Everyone contributed to the mod in some way. TSK is the guy who figured out how to put everything together so it worked. Yeah, he had help. However, he did nearly 95% of the drudge work involved in placing everything correctly.

Please understand, I am not trying to back seat moderate here at all. I am most certainly not trying to anger or publicly chastise you either. Your original post reads as if you are a little dismissive of the help he has so generously offered. People expect to be treated with courtesy and respect. Just as you do, I am sure.

Did you change the weapons to match what you already have?
Did you add in the weapons in the mod so the game would know which ones to use?

"Still fail" tells me and everyone else nothing we can use to be able to help you out properly. I have stayed away from this thread until now. Mostly because others seemed to be helping and it seemed to be working. Maj suggested SB34 as a good place to start troubleshooting.THIS links you to something I did about four years ago which explains in detail how to add in a single ship to the game. If nothing else, it can show you what not to do.

I would also suggest cultivating a little patience. A2 can be a royal pain to mod even when one knows what one is doing. It requires attention to detail and some precise spelling. A single letter out of place can cause a CTD event. Everyone here who plays/mods A2 has experienced the kind of frustration which currently has you beside yourself. You want the game to work and you want it to work right now! We know that already. Abrupt answers to questions and minimal explanations of problems will only ensure people stay away. Not what you want, is it? I didn't think so.

Settle down. Relax. Breathe. What you are going through right now is the very best way to learn how to mod. When everything does work as you want, then you'll be less dependent upon others to help you out of a jam. Those others have lives and projects of their own as well. They may not be available to help all the time. Some people who've been tinkering with this for a long time have already offered good advice such as visiting SB34 for the tutorials. Use this. Free yourself from being forced to have others fix your game for you.
