• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Well, I am looking into moving once again. This time it will be over where Syf is located. Oh the trouble we could cause... Only one problem. To make it to that job. I must make money to afford it. I remember once someone telling me that getting a job is easy and doesn't cost anything. I have always believed that getting a job cost money. Kinda Ironic I think. To make money. You must first have money... How interesting.

Yes Syf told me about this and I posted about it in your myspace profile. I look forward to hearing more about this as it happens. ;)

Well, looks like my plans are once again hanging in the air. I still have no car. I have been waiting for 2 weeks for one to be delivered to me. On top of that. The little bit of money was was able to come up with had to be spent on needs here. I now have no idea when I will be able to make it. My frustration at the situation on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the highest. I would say its about 5000. Does that explain it very well?

:x :x :help: :help: :yuck: :yuck: :cry2: :cry2: :x :x

That would be frustrating Z. Unfortuantely trying to save money is such a hard thing, especially when you have expenses elsewhere. And it is so true, you need money to earn money.

Keep your chin up, things will pick up soon! There has to be someway that you and your darling boys can get to that job though! And it will happen when you least expect it....;)

I know this is a little bit off topic from the above but why is there a lot of editing happening to some of the posts and is there a problem with some people and their eyes concerning posts that are coloured because I've noticed in different colours that they have been changed and there are still a lot of grammar errors to be fixed as well.....

Firstly some colours are hard on peoples eyes, like myself for example, thats why I have editted the posts. For the spelling and grammar, I try my best to correct all the posts I see, but I am only one man and I spend as much time as I can on the site (I also work a full time job), but I get tried of correcting things like simple spelling mistakes that people should check for before posting.

Yeah, I cannot for the life of me read the red on the dark background, especially when it is as thin as this text is. Blue is bad as well.

Agreed. Thats the reason I edit them, i'm only young and I too have trouble reading them.

And the spelling and grammar is another problem that I am powerless to do anything about, its up to the members to take care in their posts.

I can be really "anal" when it comes to grammar and spelling and have to bite my tongue whenever I see a mistake, this includes magazines and the like, especially on television it really gets my goat. Once Majectic pointed out to me how bad different colours were, I had a closer look and I agreed with Iccky, Jess and Majectic about the different colours being off-putting. I feel it doesn't matter if you are young or old, it's just being considerate of your surrounding cyber-friends. :D it's known as repecting those around you

Well, the Hard drive on my laptop just crashed. So, now comes the fun of replacing it. Good thing is I have a copy of a program to bypass the HD and still get online with my system. :excited: :excited: :excited: I may have lost everything I had on the HD but atleast I still got the system and can get on here still.

Its a bootable cd rom. It bypasses the current operating system. That way you can use a system for what you want and not worry about others hacking into it. It is legal. Its a good thing to have when a HD goes out and you still want to use your system.

So, Until I get a new HD. I am using a version of Linux. I am also using Firefox as my web browser. :excited: :excited:

I always use Firefox as it is more secure and reliable than IE.

I was supposed to put my laptop in to get some warranty work done on it while I was on holidays, but never got around to it! Whoops! I have until December, but with how my uni is, it may be hard getting it there!

Well, The HD crashed on my laptop again. This time I am to irritated to care b/c of some of the information I lost in the proccess. So, given that plus a few other problems right now. Unless I can get this back up and running on its current HD and be able to save the information. Then I will be done with computers. I am tired of getting my life going in the right direct just to end off worse then I was when I started the current situation hoping to make things better. So, unless I can get my laptop running as it is now. You may not see me around.:cry2: :cry2: :cry2:

I back up my info every week to 2 weeks...unfortunately I stil lost pictures from my visit home when my laptop was stolen on the way back to my unit. sad thing is it was the most secure it could have been. Anymore secure and they could have gotten my back up HD's.
