Hello MSFC. I am starting this thread as another means to spread the word on fleet or game events. If you wish to organize an event, post it here and set up the event via the fleet tab in game.

Here is the first event.

Great news from the House of Cryptic has arrived today. Starting this Thursday, April 5, Klingon warriors will have access to a new episode titled “Alpha.†This KDF-only mission has been designed for level-34 Captains and takes place in Romulan space in the Orith system. We can meet in the Great Hall of The First City. From there we will venture into Romulan territory and find glory for the Empire! Join me in this Glorious campaign and they will sing songs of our victory.

Qapla!!!

malQa!, Cryptic! I, too would relish an opportunity to make some Rihannsu stand and fight as warriors should instead of their usual backstab from the shadows while blaming others. General Crell and the crew of Fire Blade are at your call from 22:00 UTC this evening. It is a good day to die! It is an even better day for Rihannsu to die! Qapla!

EDIT: What is the latest version of TeamSpeak? Or is everyone using something else? Much easier to coordinate team actions via voice than typing, IMO.

Admirals of the Federation,
Generals of the Empire,

The Star Empire are moving against Obisek and his resistance movement. The Rihannsu have taken the Vault. There is a plan in place to retake the station back. Obisek and his forces will draw out the bulk of their forces and we will infiltrate the station using small craft. Once inside, we will expunge the station of the Rihannsu infestation. Join me in glorious battle. They will sing songs of our victory from Qo'nos to even Earth!

Qapla' Warriors!!

Ladies and gentlemen of MSFC. I would like to schedule weekly STF days. We can pick one day a week to run as many STFs as possible. I have had my fill of PUG in this game. I want a five man (or woman as it may be) team to do this. It is difficult that many of our members are split on different sides of the planet. Please note here what days and time you would like to participate.

For me it would be US Central Thursday or Friday night at 8:30 to 9:00 pm.

My problem is on the other end of the spectrum. I did an STF today and everything was going fine. Got to the boss at the end (ground) and I was having issues with my character. It was not my first STF and everyone got mad and calling me a noob and all that. They need to get off of their high horse and quit belittling people.

It would be a different situation though, with people who were friends and new to the situation. You and other new to STF MSFC members would listen to strategy and plans.

The biggest ones I notice people ignore are the 10% rule for Infected space, and shooting cubes for Cure space. In Infected space, you always take all 4 nanite generators(8 on the map total) to 10% health, then blow them at the same time. Then everyone focuses on the larger structure and destroys it before nanite spheres can heal it. This is all to save time, frustration, and to get the bonus objective rewards. You can easily finish Infected space in under 15 minutes if everyone follows this rule. Cure space is a bit longer, with the boss battle and all, but if you manage to keep negh'vars from spawning until the end(don't shoot the cubes), you will do fine as well, though that mission takes a bit longer still.

If you can get those rules, and the others that go with the other missions, you will have no problems, but that also requires that everyone else follows them too.

You are right though, I too often see people rage quit because someone messes up and doesn't follow the rule, or worse stays and complains about noobs the whole time.

I am available most of the time, when I am on just PM or message me in the game chat and I'll let you know if I am up for one.

On the topic of STF's I do agree about much of what has been said. I have finished all three space STF's in under 15 minutes, however it is always dependant on the team and how they work together. I too find some bossy boots trying to act like god in some of them and usually if they get rowdy I just ignore their whines. Obviously he didn't get the memo that here is no "I" in Team.

A good solid 5 person team from MSFC would benefit all of us, plus those of us more experienced STF players could help our the newer inexperienced ones, something I never had the opportunity to have with STF's.

Cure space I actually find the easiest of all the three space STF's, as you said take out the nanite generators, bottom to top, as the bottom ones regenerate the higher ones. Then take out the cubes and work your way from right to left on the map and you can get the entire thing done in under 15 minutes, done that several times with a team who know what they are doing. If you leave the cubes you need to double back which takes time.

But yeah I'm up for STF's, I need to get more gear for both Juras and Naymor and hopefully soon I'll have a couple of other characters up to that level as well, so plenty of STF's for me in the near future.

I thought I should mention also, that I try to only do elite missions. The rewards are more worth the effort. I am not sure how you guys feel about that though.

All I can say is, FanBoys will be FanBoys. Unless I am doing an All MSFC STF, I do not interact with the rest of the group at all. Played all of them enough now I know what needs to be done to successfully accoumplsih the mission. As to some being bossy I just minimize my Chat Window. If I cannot see what they are saying about me, it makes no difference what they are saying about me. And as long as they are making rude remarks in my direction, they are leaving the decent people alone. When they Rage Quit all this means is more drops for me and those who do not.

Overall, I have seen very very few of the knuckleheads whose chief joy is to spoil everyone else's fun. That they are here I have no doubt of. But for some reason, they do not seem to have the out of proportion impact they do in other online games I am familiar with. It is a safe guess Jetnova16 and others like him are out there somewhere in STO Land, though. I can only hope Fire Blade and I run across him someday so we can blow him out of the stars. I think virtual aggravated assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm is a more than acceptable substitute for the real thing in this case, lol.

Incoming Priority One Transmission.....

Enter Authorization Code:

Transmission Terminated

This briefing is for eyes only. Captain D'Vak has received a report of Borg activity in the Quadra Sigma System, and asked the 7th Core to investigate. The Core found and intercepted a Borg fleet using a temporal vortex. A detailed scan shows the vortex leads back to the Borg incursion on the Vega Colony. I have been asked to form a strike force to correct any damage that could be done to the timeline. Since this strike force will be formed from any member outside of the Task Force itself, there will not be any official fleet operation orders (Fleet Event). I ask for any volunteers with in the Federation, Klingon Empire, or Cardassian Union to join. We need a team of five, including myself in order for this operation to be a success. If you wish to volunteer, notify me either here or via automated subspace transmission (game mail). May God light our path and Kahless sharpen our blades.

Admiral Kurr out.

Legate Corvaal of the Cardassian Union and Klingon Empire answers the call of battle.

I also only do normal STF's, the Elite difficulty is too difficult and expensive due to having to use regenerators and components all the time. Though down the track I may consider doing some with a MSFC team.

Welcome aboard Legate. I agree with doing normals. I figured the team could run normals til we learn every aspect of the STF and how to work properly as a team. Then we can move on up to trying elites.

The team should meet on Drazona Station in the Eta Eridani Sector Block sometime after 8:30 pm US Central time on Friday, May 18, 2409. The strike will commence after the team has assembled. Here is a list of some recommended items.

1 [Tribble of Borg]
1 [CRM 200] (recommended)
30+ [Large Shield Charge]s
30+ [Large Hypo]s
1 Melee Weapon
1 [Engineering Kit - Fabrication Specialist Mk X] for Engineers
1 [Science Kit - Medic Mk X] for Science officers
1 [Tactical Kit - Fire Team Mk X] and/or [Tactical Kit - Squad Leader Mk X] for Tactical officers
1 High DPS Weapon (Assault Rifles)
[Frequency Remodulator] or, even better, a [Fractal Remodulator]

Well I have no Tribble of Borg but the rest I can easily do. I'll log on when I get up, as it is morning for me at that time, so I can't say if I'll be there at 8:30 your time but I'll get there as soon as I can.

I'm not very good (yet) at the ground portion of the game, but to support the MSFC KDF Fleet I will will be there. My role may simply be to provide something for the Drones to shoot at while the rest of you pick them off. However, I fully intend to be the best distraction those Drones have ever seen seen. ('Hey! Look over there! Is that Elvis?')

Yeah the ground aspect of the game is something I want to do more of, especially for STF's however they are very difficult with a random team. I really want to get Naymor decked out with some good ground gear from Omega Force's store.

I'll see if I can get on tonight and join y'all if you will have me. I have all XII weapons on my space loadout, and my ground, which I ignore alot tbh, has XI gear. I already have one of the omega armor set, but of course you can't get the cool one with the helmet unless you do elite.

Also, I have the grenaid kit, do you guys recommend getting a different kit for STFs?

It really depends on the mission you are doing. It is helpful to have multiple kits that you can swap out as the need arises.

Ladies and Gentlemen of MSFC. I would like to organize MSFC STF runs tonight (US) beginning with The Cure space and doing as many as we can muster. I would like a full team of 5 MSFC players. I would also request that each player bring any type of deployable turret. 1 team member (preferably a cruiser with tanking and healing ability) will stay to protect the IKS Chang. All five members will deploy a turret around the Chang to assist in the ships protection. The other 4 members will then assault the Borg shipyards. Feel free to add any comment or ask any questions you may have.

Absolutely it will be normal. I would like to have a consistent team of five to do the STFs. As the team learns the missions and how to work together, we can move up to elites. As the fleet hopefully expands, we will have plenty of veterans to help the new members.

Lol, well that was a typo on my part, but whatever. I got my answer. :D

I meant to say that my vote is always for Elite because the rewards are better and the loot is better and it can take the same amount of time if done right. I'm sure if we can get everyone up to speed though, we will be doing elites in no time. :)

Possible hacked account

This may be my fault and if it is, I'll correct it. Does anyone here recognize either of these two people?

@dsfwe

@oiuihew

At 4 AM, CDT I recieved a friendship request from both of these people. I declined the request because I do not recognize the handles. The second one sent another friendship request and I promptly listed both as Ignore. I come from work, I find both of them listed in my friends in gold tinted font listed as received request. I most certainly did not send either of these a Friendship request. This is the second morning in a row I have recieved a request from someone listed as @dsfsomething or other. I am not in the habit of accepting blind requests from people I do not know. Nor am I interested in being friends with someone who is not a part of MSFC already.

Unless you PM me from here at MSFC, I am going to place both on the Ignore list and I am also going to report them to both Cryptic and Perfect World. I am not trying to do anything other than avoid unpleasantness which seems to follow events like this. If you find my actions offensive, I most humbly apologize. All I am trying to do is avoid problems which can result from activities such as this.

I have also been spammed by similar accounts through the chat and with friend requests. I have attached a pic of their names.

I am organizing two fleet events. They are as follows:

1: Dilithium Run. We will meet on the Fleet Starbase at 10:00 pm CDT on Friday, July 20 to team up and run all daily missions that reward dithium. This is for level 50 characters only as some of the missions are for that particular rank.
The missions are:
Foundry
1) Investigate Officer Reports - 1440 Dilithium Ore (Complete 3 Foundry missions - we can pick three short ones to conserve time)
2) Asteroid Mining - variable outcome, several hundred Dilithium Ore (Optional depending on group desires)
3) Explore Strange New Worlds - 1440 Dilithium Ore (Explore Star Cluster - We will explore B'Tran as that will complete simultaneously with Chart B'Tran)
4) Chart the B'Tran Cluster (Vice Admiral) - 1440 Dilithium Ore
5) We Need Breathing Room - 1440 Dilithium Ore
6) Aiding the Deferi - 1440 Dilithium Ore
7) Rescue Deferi Captives (Daily)†- 480 Dilithium
8) Emancipation (Daily)†- 480 Dilithium Ore
9) Traelus System - Satellite Repair - 480 Dilithium Ore
10) “Sh'mar - Distress Signal†- 480 Dilithium Ore
11) Defense Contract†- 480 Dilithium Ore

This will gain each player in excess of 9,600 Dilithium. There are also missions on Nukara that reward Dilithium.

The second event is the Nukara Invasion zone missions. Again we will meet at the Fleet Starbase at about 10:00 PM on Friday, July 27. Once the group is formed, we will proceed to Nukara to expel the Tholians. There are exterior and interior maps each with 2 easy missions, 2 medium missions, and 1 hard mission. There is also a revolving zone wide mission that offers dilithium. Please RSVP via the fleet UI in game and or here.

Hope to see you all there. If there is more than five who wish to take part, we will separate into two groups.

On those nights, I set the events for about five hours each to give time for members to log on and join. Let me know when you can get on and I will see if we could team up and run them together. As for the Starbase, there really is not anything there. It is a tier 0 base so it is VERY basic. As the base advances up in tiers, more options become available.
