I personally think this series was one of if not the best sci-fi series out there.

It added humour to the show and the show was seen through the eyes of a lost Human, ie John Crichton.

Its just a shame it was cancelled as this series could of went places.

I loved this serese and i always made time to watch it regardless of if it was a repeat. it is just so didsapointing that all the original or good sci-fis are getting cancaled. I personally loved the ship and the fact that earth based metal on his shuttel was really strong compared to what they had on the first episode lol. well theres my oppinion anyway.

Bit of thread necromancy here huh Majestic? :)

I agree with you. For me Farscape was the best Science Fiction series ever made. The worlds were extremely imaginative, most aliens were creative and intriguing, the development of the crew from uneasy allies out of necessity (In season 1) to a strongly attached family (By seasons 3-4) was gripping, the humor was awesome (Thanks largely to Ben's timing and Rygel) and the love story with Aeryn was simply the finest and most dramatic I've seen in a space opera.

I would have loved to have a final season as originally intended but I am grateful to have had the Peacekeeper Wars as an official and magnificent wrap up for the series. Best sci-fi miniseries I 've seen.

I agree Muad'Dib, Farscape is in my top two with the other decades old. It was just so original and I agree the Crichton/Rygel humour really made it. Each of the crew were really unique with their strengths and flaws, even Crichton the hero of the series wasn't always the centre of attention (hell D'Argo got the Captaincy of Moya not Crichton) and did show his humanity by not being the superhero that many sci-fi shows have include shows like Star Wars etc.

I love Farscape! I'm currently on the fourth season episode Terra Firma. The season 2 finale probably made Scorpius one of the most horrifying villains I've seen in a space opera, way creepier than anything out of Star Trek or Star Wars. You don't exactly see people kill main characters so casually in either of those. I don't like Grayza much, though.

I think of Farscape as one of the top five sci-fi series and it's Aussie made too. :)

I really need to start watching it again, I haven't seen it in like four years.

I did not get the opportunity to see all of Farscape but, what I did see of it I thoroughly enjoyed. At least it got to last longer than one season (*cough Firefly Cough*) ;)

I need to try and find it somewhere to add to my SciFi collection I am getting.

I guess it is just as well as mum told you she finally wanted to watch it with you huh?!

I really enjoyed watching the parts I did see of this and can't wait to see the whole series myself since my brother has gone ahead without me!

I know the feeling Chiana, I HATE it when my girlfriend goes on watching a series we are watching together without me... possibly the most irritating thing in the known universe - yes, I include Konata, Rick Rolling and the stupid "lande lando" song thing with the rotating leek thing in that estimation...

I really liked Farscape - it was timed really well in the UK to be on right when I was getting home from work (6pm on channel 4, or possibly 2, I forget...) so I caught most of it - I love the word budong too...

Maj did that to me while we were watching Farscape, he has been so sick lately that I literally forced him to stay in bed so he could get better and to pay me back he goes and watches half of season 2 and all of season 3 on me so I had to catch up in the lounge room while he was in the bedroom in bed watching even more, I refused to let him watch all of season 4 without me though so he only got the first 2 episodes and had to rewatch them with me anyways lol

I do too, I'm thinking of incorporating it into my every day words to use when the kids muck up hehe:lol2: I've already started using others lol

How do you use budong in a sentence anyway? Do you use it as an noun, verb, adjective, adverb, etc.? I could see it being an insult if the person you were talking to knew what it meant. Or maybe use it in a metaphor like, "That hill is as big as a budong." Anyway, I added budong to my browser's spell checker so it would stop underlining it.

Just started watching Farscape yesterday, and must say that I got quite impressed. The show had humor and was original, and the characters were quite interesting. It didn't reinvent the wheel (as I see influence from alot of older shows), but all shows have influence from somewhere. Right now I've only seen 4 episodes, and I'm goind to watch more later. :)

My only complaint about Farscape is that the first few episodes were not very good. The pilot in particular was poorly written. The sheer awesomeness of all the other episodes make up for it, though.

Yeah the last episodes were rushed mainly due to the cancellation that was dropped out of nowhere by the dreaded sci-fi channel. I remember it was between Stargate SG-1 and Farscape, both series had an equal chance but Farscape lost out due to how the episodes needed to be watched to understand the where the story was going, something SG-1 picked up shortly after so it was a pointless cancellation and the reason was just an excuse. Then a couple of years later they cancelled SG-1 and had also started SG-A which was a few seasons in, which I saw no reason they should've cancelled Farscape to begin with.

After the crew got the Peacekeeper Wars off the ground themselves with no help form the channel, the channel tried to air the movie and the creators told them where to go with it. Good on them I say. The series easily had another few seasons in it.

    Hello:
Not sure if I have mentioned this before, but the story did continue as comics. The comics were written by the series' author himself so I guess they can really be considered as canon. And they stay true to the Farscape spirit since lot of stuff happens and most of them leaves you with the WTF!-look in the face Farscape is knows for :D .
