A Town Called Eureka (US: Eureka)
Firstly id like to apologise, pretty sure i had a thread about this series up, but i ant seem to find it.
Anyway, just finished the 3rd season of Eureka! its brilliant.
Infact the final episode doesnt air until next week but after the 13th ep i have just had to find it online (which is rare, i am incredibly lazy usually)
The reviews i read of the pilot seemedto sum up the show, it was good, it was quirky, and sadly not long for this world. it initially seemed to be a little too quirky and not a lot of people liked it (Using an example: My parents cant stand it, yet they like stargate and star trek, heck my dad queued over night for star wars, and my mum was hugged mya klingon!) So maybe this wasnt a series for the more hardcore sci fi fans? Or maybe its for a new level of fans alltogether.
i apologise if im being overly cryptic, but i really think this is a series you should go out and find for yourself, its a fun way to spend 45 minutes really. its all quirky and rather surreal in places, but still **** awesome.
For those of you who dont know, Eureka is a small town somewhere in America, where the best minds in the world were gatehred after the second world war, by albert einstein, where they could work on furthering science without hinderance. a US Marshal stumbles into town with his deliquant dauhgter and on the face of it all is normal, Sadly, he ends up staying. He is basically Jo Below average when it comes to this town, everyone is a genius and an expert ins omething, and mindbogoling and insane problems are a daily occurance here, the Marhsal ends up becoming the town sherif and has to face these things on a daily basis.
And the best news of all?
Eureka has been picked up for a full 22 episode 4th season!!!!!
I think this is great news and just shows that not all good shows are cancelled. and much to my surprise, Eureka is still running.
If by now you havent worked it out, this show is brilliant yet im surprised its survived for 4 years.
Id like to know what you all think about the news of the 4th season, and general views on the show.
