• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Dreadnought is cool, but since I have never gotten a ship out of one, I can't really say I'm excited about a new series...

I agree with Admiral Z. They just end up collecting virtual dust in my bank accounts. I still have about fifty Cardassian lock boxes, and the Dominion ones would be the, what, fifth or sixth version of the lock box?

The lock box is just a money grab, instead of producing missions or other content for the game a lot of their time goes into these that few can actually use due to how unbalanced they are, instead of a set number you have to open before you can absolutely certain to get the ship some people only have to open one, while others have to open hundreds.

Also we already have the Bug Ship in-game it's one of the most powerful ships in game too and now they are beefing it up with these new ships with their consoles. I feel rather than doing something already done they should of went with another species.

Now I have four lock box ships currently, 3 I use and one I opened from a lock box but I wasn't after it just the lobi, so I will sell it when the prices increase on the exchange. It's getting to a point that if one wants to stay competitive they need a lock box ship, Starfleet and the KDF are going to be mostly alien ships in 12 months time. I know my two Federation mains fly alien ships same with my one KDF main.

As for the bio-neural not impressed another great KDF console in Federation hands and the KDF get an ordinary console in return. I have been a strong supporter than cross-faction consoles are a bad idea, these consoles should stay on that faction and if players want to use them they should go and play that faction. The rate it's going there will be no reason to play the KDF and the game will ultimately fail.

Sorry to be so negative but after 3 months off I recently came back and discovered the game has actually gotten worse, more grinding, dilithium prices have gone out the roof and the same time they nerfed dilithium gathering so you either need a lot of money to convert Zen into dilithium or need to spend a hell of a lot of time in-game. Both options are no possible for the majority of players and Cryptic is forcing players to play the game how they want rather than giving options to players.

Picked up the Bio Neural Warhead from the exchange for a decent price (350k).

Facing forward it is not a useful as my Romulan Torpedo with Torpedo spread and HY, but facing to the rear it's almost a dream come true. When you have to get out to recover shields/hull, the BNW is the perfect gift for whatever is in pursuit. HY torpedoes get raped, spheres mauled, cubes get a black eye and probes simply cease to exist.
