• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Does anyone know if ......

Battleclinic will ever re-release its Star Trek content? It is sad that so much stuff from that site appears to be lost forever.

From what I saw on their page, they had no plans to re-release or migrate their content. Dang shame, there's a lot of great work there lost forever.

Unless it's archived somewhere? Like the mods over at A2Files were?

Maybe the wayback machine? Or whatever it's called.

Its not lost, I probably have it all in my personal files like everyone else. :) Problem is, are there not rules about uploading other peoples content that you downloaded? From what I remember, the credit files were included in the zip, but you probably still need permission anyway. It would be cool if there was a database we could all upload too, but we would still need an admin to parse the duplicates and validate the files.
I take it back, "Dang shame, there's a lot of great work there lost forever." :(

MSFC's rules are that you need to try and contact the original authour. If you fail due to not being able to contact them (old email accounts no longer in use, they are no longer on forums they used to visit etc) then it's okay after all that to upload it. As long as the original readme file is included and they are credited as the original authour.

We do have a others game mod section if I recall in the downloads section which has some of Zelph's SFC3 models. If the demand does become high enough a SFC3 section can be created without any problem.

Thanks for the advise Majestic,
Maybe we should start a new post and ask for specific ships or files and see the reaction.
