Other Lives is an audio story that featured the Eighth Doctor, Charley and C'rizz. Written by Gary Hopkins it was released by Big Finish in December 2005.
The setting for this story is the Great Exhibition in London 1851.
This is a story I had been looking forward to listening to due to the casting of Ron Moody as Arthur, the Duke of Wellington. As mentioned in the story the Duke had served as Prime Minister of Britain. (In the same month of Other Lives' release in which Ron Moody had portrayed a real-life former Prime Minister, the TV episode The Christmas Invasion was shown featuring the fictional Prime Minister Harriet Jones).
Ron Moody is superb as the Duke and it is very good the rapport the Duke has with Charley.
Also in this story is Tomorrow person Mike Holloway* as Jacob Crackles and Francesca Hunt, India Fisher's (Charley) sister, as Georgina Marlow.
Mike Holloway is very good as the villainous Crackles and very enjoyable Georgina's scenes with the Doctor.
Very good performances from all involved in this jolly fun adventure.
*Another Tomorrow person, their leader Nicholas Young had appeared in the 2001 release Colditz which incidentally was the Doctor Who debut of David Tennant.
