• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Saw the episode last night at my uni sci fi club and here are my comments about it with spoilers.

Love that resolution to the cliffhanger.
Surprised that Pete is Gemini.
Ricky gets killed and like everyone else feared it was Mickey who got killed instead.
Surprising that Crane turns on Lumic.
K9 is mentioned when Mickey says "tin dog".
Got a scare when the Doctor and Mrs Moore sees the row of Cybermen and love that chase that came afterwards.
I had this gut feeling that Mrs Moore was going to get killed and sadly I was proven right.
Jackie gets turn into a Cyberwoman. Really did not expect that.
I certainly did not expect to see Lumic as the Cybercontroller and what an impressive sight he is.
Like the Doctor's argument about emotions.
Impressed with how the Cybermen were defeated.
Jackie is presumably dead with the other Cybermen that were blown up. Somehow this seems fair since Pete is dead in the travellers' reality.
Sad that alternate Pete gives Rose the brush-off after calling him Dad.
Mickey staying in the alternate reality is not what I saw coming. It had been speculated that Mickey would appear semi-regularly in Torchwood. Does this mean he won't appearing in Torchwood after all?

As I mentioned before this story came from elements of Marc Platt's Big Finish story Spare Parts. This comes a year after Dalek was adapted from writer Rob Sherman's own Big Finish story Jubilee. Already people have been speculating whether season 3 will also adapt a Big Finish story in whole or in part as well. A case of wait and see on this.
Pete is revealed to be Gemini. Gemini is of course a sign of the Zodiac. Well coincidentally I just finished reading the Gemini story of the Big Finish short story book anthology Zodiac which told a story based on each sign of the Zodiac. The Gemini story which is called Twin Piques has nothing thing to do with Cybermen. It however does feature the Second Doctor and Jamie who encountered the Cybermen the most with four stories in the classic series.
