Here is what I have so far.

A nice start CF. Considering the limit modeling experience you have, it's a very good start.

Oh, and use the "Attachment" feature to host the images here. ImageShack has been acting very badly lately.

I added some textures to it.

Obviously I think the first FLT ship would be smaller with the "engines" taking up most of the space.

It's a good start. You've got seven weeks to refine and complete your entry.

IIRC you don't have to make your own textures, you can use textures others have made, you just need permission to do so...

That is correct. You may use someone's textures, as long as you make it clear they are not your, and that you have the permissions needed. You can even ask someone to texture it for you. The only problem with that is time. But either way, you must not take credit for someone elses work.

Well, I am in the process of modifing the design. I am going for alot more detail. I have it at under 500 polies still and looking alot better. Will post some pics alittle later.

Edit: Here are some pics of the next level of this ship model. This one is only 596 polies heavy so far. I still have to add the engines and alot more detail.

Since I have never seen your WIP. I am reminded how many times we have set out to do a design or something else and came up with very similair ideas or designs. Great minds do think alike. LOL...

You will see it here shortly. I've been working on it today, and it's almost ready for it's first public glimps.

That's coming along nicely. Just a hair more polies than mine currently.
