"Eccleston to Appear on Heroes
Source: PW November 15, 2006

TV Guide's Michael Ausiello has a casting scoop for Heroes:

Question: Your superpower is super scoop. Save the world and give us some Heroes poop.— Sarah
Ausiello: Fanboys, prepare to piddle yourself. Christopher Eccleston — the original Dr. Who from the current Sci Fi/BBC series — is joining the cast in January in a really super (tee-hee) role. Speaking of cool casting, wait until you see who's ******* ****'s ****. You're going to flip."

Coincidentally I found out yesterday that 7 has acquired the rights for Heroes.

Another interesting thing is that the 2006 season of Doctor Who starring Chris' successor David Tennant is currently scheduled on the US Sci Fi Channel as the program that comes after Heroes.

About DW being on Sci-Fi... Yep, I watch it every Friday. I think we are a season behind the UK.

Found out from Outpost Gallifrey that it has been confirmed that Eric Roberts, the Master in the Paul McGann Doctor Who TV movie has joined the cast of Heroes. This follows on the appearance on Heroes of Ninth Doctor Chris Eccleston. Talk about a double treat for Australian Doctor Who fans as Heroes will debut on 7 just four days from now.

In Chapter 13 of Heroes last night shown on Australian TV, Claude as played by Chris Eccleston said "Fantastic" just like he did when he was the Doctor. I guess old habits. Also interesting in this episode was the appearance of George Takei and the credit says "With George Takei and Christopher Eccleston." I can only wonder whether to attach a Doctor Who and a Star Trek name together was due to their old shows.
