 I thought I heard this was canceled! I have also heard rumors the pilot will be a tv movie rather than the start of a series.

I've heard the same as you Zax, I also head it might be a web production rather then being aired on TV. A real shame as I think this would really be the best BSG production, we finally get to see a real good look at the colonies in their prime. Or at least before they cancelled it. :(

EDIT:

Actually just head some news about this, check it out: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/tvnews.php?id=96750

Yeah I am going to wait till the DVD release to only get to see 12 minutes then wait for the next is not worth it, I want to see the whole lot in one shot and on my TV. As it probably won't be released on TV here in Australia I'll wait for the DVD. So no spoilers Zax. :lol2: ;)

heh, I will try my best. :D Reminds me of that old starwars clone wars cartoon that was originally released in 5 minute episodes until they had so many they now have two seasons of dvd's. That was fun though.

Hello:
I just saw another trailer, so new ships will surely be seen! :excited: I am very excited, even if it is a webseries I am happy that we will have at least this as a released product.... unlike Harmony Gold :D .

I am very looking forward for this friday!

What? We Europeans get this at the same time as you US folks?
That's new. You know, I'm being used to watching shows that were canceled in the States before they even started showing them here. Or, at least, hearing "OMG, that new show is awesome!" and knowing that they will show it over here many months later. Or never. They never did Caprica over here, for example. You just get used to it.

Looking forward to this! :) The intertubes, I love them!

Even worse. Over here they did, I think, the first season of the new ones. I know that the first two were translated and the sync was atrocious. The 2nd one was never shown afaik.

I mean, wtf? I needs mai doctor... :cry2:

One show compared to dozens, I still think you US folks have it good. Like Terra AU is in the same boat when it comes to series being show here. In fact I got into the habit about 10 years ago to just wait and buy the DVD releases because often we miss the shows on the TV as they keep moving the times and days around for sci-fi as it's not considered important over here. SOaps, Reality TV and the rest of that poop seems to be more important to TV channels.

Oh, could you link that trailer in this thread for us?

I found another trailer that had some other ships in it, in fact in a fleet shot I recognise a few things from the BSG series.

Even worse. Over here...
... they also cancel their runs in favor really stupid stuff or shows that absolutely outdated...
Tuesday evening they had "Blue Bloods" on the timetable, then canceled it in favor of Bud Spencer movies from the 70s. After that they show "Justified" with a talentless Timothy Oliphant who has one single expression: Looking puzzled and confused. At some time after midnight they show (finally!!) "Southland" and they push it farther back into the night every week until the ratings are so low that they cancel Southland as well.

"Flashpoint" was on a nice spot on the weekend with two episodes. Gone. Now what? MacGuyver and/or the A-Team. And NCIS.... over and over and over... three to four episodes on one evening.
Years ago they showed "MASH 4077th" in the early evening program, right before the "Simpsons". Compelling Television. Law&Order SVU: Gone... (the darkest comedy on TV! Seriously, between all the blood, John Munch is so deadpan you just have to crack up.) Third Watch... gone. Star Trek TOS? Never seen in years.
A re-run of the early seasons of E.R.? Unimaginable.

It is good to understand English, so that kitten up there is right: teh internationel web is teh best.
But sometimes I like to watch a show with family and they do not understand English. Between Germany's next flopmodel and Germany's next superstar, cooking shows and "scripted reality" TV there are hardly any good shows on in the evening.
And that are just the privately-owned channels. The national TV is even worse! Volksmusik, Volksmusik, Volksmusik and endless soap operas...

And to get back to BSG: They showed it until season 2.5. Gone...

As for Blood and Chrome:
I am really looking forward to this one. Hopefully they manage to live up to NBSG standards and make this as awesome as the first three seasons of BSG were.
It surely will give us 3d-guys a few more ideas for ships to play with. Maj's image already speaks a thousand words. Finally, a full battlestar group!

According to wikipedia, Sgt. Hadrian will return... as a Commander...

By the way: the announced movie "The Plan". Has it been released? If yes, is it good?

Yeah, I think The Plan came out in late 2009, if it's the same one you're thinking of. I enjoyed it, although I haven't seen it since then. Mostly listen to the soundtrack haha.

Also, that preview was awesome, I'm stoked for this series.

Hello:
I am so looking forward for this premiere, even though it will be friday and most fridays are my busiest days this semester so I might fall asleep :cry2: . But I am also very glad to finally see what can be battlestar groups, but I admit it was creepy to see that Raptor been pursues in the debris of a destroyed Battlestar, but it was just like in the first concept art images, so awesomeness :excited: .

@ Majestic: You found that second trailer I thought, so no need for me to put a link ;) .

Hello:
Sorry for double post, but I just saw the first 2 episodes: They were great! and it is surely going to be just better.

I am not 100% sure or happy about the reimagination for a couple of ships, but the new designs are starting to make-up for that.

Also, I took a pic! snapshot20121109233118.jpg

I hope the serie will be great.

That's a Lot of turrets!!!

They're determined to make things difficult for us modelers aren't they!

That looks pretty epic to me. Seems like an attempt to make it more clear that she's a powerful warship on her own instead of just a carrier. Gotta love that.

I've seen that image surface over the past 24 hours. I plan to eventually do the support ships that appear in Blood and Chrome, just waiting for Zoic to release some orthos like they did for BSG.

Indeed, looks like I'll need to re-do my Columbia armoured textures. Good thing I haven't sent those off to Jetfreak yet. :lol2:

Hello:
I just saw episodes 3 and 4! :excited: .

If you all have seen Majestic's pic numbering the ships in a fleet, there was one he did not numbered but I did recognize what ship it was.... I am not sure how good is that i was right but i won't spoil it for you, but let's just say we all have seen that ship before :silence: .

Also i was able to take a look at the new basestar design, it is clearly bigger than the Guardian basestar, details show it is a TOS Basestar but with Guardian's wings, still very interesting to see. Also a new ship and looking so forward for next episodes! .

Didn't have time to watch it yet as well. Is it any good?
I've enjoyed all the episodes so far, decent acting and special effects. I've never seen Caprica though, so I've missed out on a few of the references there. Overall, definitely worth a watch, for a look at a Colonial Fleet at its best strength at the least.

And when I thought that I can start quietly watch SG-1 the first time in my life, B&C just fell from the sky
Now I have to watch Caprica first.

What a great find. Are you planning on modelling/making any of them?

Hello:
Well, the thing is that there are only diagrams in that page: of that custom Raptor and of only one of the new fleet ships. So, I did ask mister Livingstone if he knows where to find diagrams of the other fleet ships (since he designed them... and I hope he'll reply).

Right now, I have no need for those ships, but when the moment comes, I think I will build them :).

How does blood and chrome compare with the actual show? I own all of the BSG tv show on DVD, and I was thinking of buying Blood and Chrome in addition. Is it good?
