• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

[Help] Armada 2 nebula genrator

Hello again everyone,
would anyone be able to pint me in the direction of a weapon that used the nebgenerator tag in fleet ops? like the old 8472 fluidic rift gen? im trying in vain to add that back with species 8472 and the reman rebels and i cant seem to get it to work.

I don't use FO, but theoretically, you could add it back if you add back in all the files from vanilla-A2 (assuming the FO team didn't overwrite the base ability).

i have already tried that. im looking for an example of the effect in fleet ops so i can emulate it

My best guess would be the long, painful way. Look at each Spec. Weapon file to see if one of them use the nebula rift generator. (Control + F command will be your friend)

Hey Mike

I don't know for sure but you might start by looking at the Klingon Qaw'Duj class. It may use a nebula based weapon. Polaron Field

BortaS class. Artificial Ion Storm.

yeah probably right. i was hoping someone would know of the top of their head. sadly it we are losing more and more resources for this game as the years go on, including the knowledge the modders from the hayday of this game.
