• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

I was encouraged to make my own Mega-Thread for my work, in a similar vain like the rest of you all. While I don't have much to show, I don't do textures or create my own models; I figured that posting something for all my W.I.P. stuff was still a fun idea. Anything I make I try to release so other people can enjoy he work too...but as I have WAY TOOO MANY things back logged that get worked on all at once or not at all; a place to show off my projects sounded cool. So here they are!

For my first showcase; here is the D-10 and Ares Class in Armada 2. These are my commissioned work from @Majestic flying around in-game. Sadly, I haven't got them firing (probably something wrong with the .sod files), but nevertheless, they look great in the vanilla engine. A true testament to Majestic's work.

They look great in-game mate. Been so long since I've seen some of my work in a game. :)

I'm still shocked by that. You're work is top-tier.

Once they are fully functional, I can send you the files so you can use use them too. After all, they are yours.

I don't mod Armada 2 anymore, don't even have it installed or play it. Thanks for the offer though. Screenshots of them in-game is more than enough to make me happy.

Last model of mine I saw in-game was my Constitution in Sins by @Epytron_Omega

make sure you are naming your hardpoints correctly in the sod file.. and make sure you are using the parent "h_hardpoints".. when you begin your hardpointing, you ALWAYS have to select the parent hardpoint first.. otherwise each hardpoint you put down, will become a child of the previous one..

example.. if you select h_hardpoints.. and drop a hardpoint named "h_phaser1" (that can be done by the way.. we don't have to use the classic h_hp01)... anyways.. getting sidetracked.. If you don't go back and reselect "h_hardpoints", the next hardpoint you drop will be a child of "h_phaser1".. so be very mindful of that.. and of course, "h_hardpoints" has to be a child of your root hardpoint.. I use simply "h_root" keeps it very easy to manage. If you are ever confused by this.. shoot me a message and we can connect and I can walk you through it, assuming you are using MS3D to hardpoint your models.
