Galileo class

Interesting tidbit: When Voyager was still in the development stage, Voyager was to be a Galileo class star ship. It had fixed pylons and a different style of impulse engines. If I could remember how it looked, I would modify the stock Intrepid and create the Galileo.

Feel free to use any of these or none of them as you wish. After all it is your ship and you should do what pleases you first and foremost. Oh, BTW, it was difficult to create this list whist keeping the US or American references to a minimum, lol. There are far too many of those already available.

I would describe my ship as a big explorer, not made for war, but for the original idea of star trek, exploring the universe. Though when there is no way around a fight, it has plenty of new good weapons, to explore maps in ST Legacy

Id also like to give that ship class an adjective as a name, because i did use persons often enough. I know that excludes your great list, but if i had known that you come up with that, i had told you this earlier

Not really, but there's a fan made Valiant Class by DJ Curtis. Its kinda like a Defiant successor.

Of all the names given, I really like Resoulte.

If I could add to Jet's Filipino-inspired suggestions, I'd also like to recommend the Bolo class as a possible name. It's used both for making trails, and as a weapon. I had a friend in university who collected knives (for some reason), and he had a bolo in his collection --it was slender and curvy but clearly would be really dangerous in the right hands. Kinda like the ship FahreS is showing us here.

(There was also Operation Bolo, during the Vietnam war, led by Col. Robin Olds; it was one of the most successful air ambushes in history and one hell of a story....)

A name that will be immediately rejected but I feel obligated to add, the Voyager class.

I am just a big fan of Voyager and this design looks to me as a follow on from Voyager, based loosely of the Intrepid and incorporating design elements from technology that Voyager picked up in the Delta Quadrant. The style of the ship for example looks like it was designed to be slipstream capable.

Yeah, I read about that one before. Though the Philippines wasnt involved in the war from a military standpoint, I guess the name stuck.

It was so named because of the mission-- a ruse to get the best of the few MiG-21s in the North Vietnamese arsenal. F-4 Phantoms posing as their slower, bomb-laden counterparts, the F-105 Thunderchief.... heh, OOPS, sorry 'bout that, Charlie. Just like the bolo, which doesn't look like much until it's already done its damage.

I added your ship to my game. I even used her and a Dawnstar in the final battle with an Akira and the big E. The only ship I lost was the Dawnstar. Love the ship!
