• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Galaxy Class Prototype

A2 Galaxy Class Prototype 1.0

No permission to download
The USS Galaxy was the first member of a highly experimental starship project, with design groundwork being laid down in the early 2340's. The first physical components of the USS Galaxy that were to be assembled as a basic spaceframe began being pieced together on 2350 at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. The Galaxy Class prototype was assigned the experimental starship registry number NX-70637.

The USS Galaxy's initial configuration was remarkably different from the production models. During her 2357 trial runs in the Sol Sector, she had a distinct outer appearance that would be short-lived as her systems were refined and replaced.

- The spaceframe had less viewports, as the crew quarters and other non-essential accommodations had not yet been completed.
- Her bridge module was submerged into the oval superstructure below, the ready room and conference room were still absent.
- The ship's saucer rim configuration was still based on the Nebula Class, which incorporated the LM-series sensor array.
- Her CH-1 Deflector Dish was still in use, it was replaced in 2360 with the finalized CH-2 model.
- The Captain's Yacht was incomplete. A Dummy mock up was attached to the Saucer Section.

Wow, this is fantastic work mate. I love the differences that shows this as a prototype, the small but detailed attention really makes this stand out from the others. This is great work and I hope this is a start of a trend. Would love to see an Intrepid version at some point.

Thanks Maj, I've been meaning to release this before the old MSFC went down. I still have a lot of goodies to share so it should be a treat!
