SFC3 Diamondback-Class Fire Support Cruiser 1.0

The Diamondback-Class Fire Support Cruiser was one of several starships designed by the Klingon Empire and Rakellian Assembly during the alliance they formed during the Second Borg Incursion of 2384. The vessel performed with fairly well during trial runs and was approved for mass production. Fifty nine of the ships were commisioned by the end of the War and served with distinction on the front lines. With it's 6 forward torpedo tubes, the Diamondback has significant firepower, able to deliver up to 18 Photon or Polaron Torpedos per volley. This firepower was no more aptly demonstrated when a squadron of Diamondbacks managed to defeat a Borg Cube and its escorts during the War. Insofar, 246 of these ships have been commissioned by the Klingons and the Rakellians with another 200 planned.
