• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Star Fleet Battles/Star Fleet Universe (Board Games)

Does anyone here play any of the board games set in the Star Fleet Universe that were the basis for the SFC games? I ask because I've been able to find a lot of the modules for the various games set in the SFU, and I've been able to get a little bit of information on the various minor powers in those games, but I'd like to find out more about the background and story of the games without having to spend the money to get the games themselves when I have no intention of playing them.

What I'd love is to get a look at very specific sections of the rulebooks to get the background information on a lot of these races so I can play around with them in a fanfic. Failing that, if anyone knows of anything like a let's play for these games that go into the background of these species, I'd like to see those too.

I'm sad to say I don't presently have access to the rules for SFB or Federation & Empire. You might be able to find issues of the Captain's Log magazines at a local gaming store; I imagine those should include at least some fluff material for the Starfleet Universe setting.

Have you tried looking up online about the information?
Failing that have you tried gumtree (not sure if it exists outside AU) or ebay, amazon etc for the rule books?
