Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.
Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.
We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.
If you can secure the permissions I will alpha map it for you... deal? PM me and we'll talk about the fine details.
i managed to get a 60000 poly model down to 5000 (the lowest it could get before losing mesh quality)
This guys not answering
Umm but again after ANOTHER day of hardpointin' (comin along at a nice clip btw)
Your hard work will be rewarded... honest...
As for this model - I like it, it kinds looks related to the Daedalus a wee bit - but that might just be me...
As for the rest of this mod - Im excited - its looking promising -a lot of modeling work though, huh?
Lightwave, huh? This sounds too good to be true, I must check this out - where'd you get it?
lol, obviously much better than what stock a2 looked. But really, a 2003 game vs a 2001 game? No fair...
Indeed, A2 should be compared more to Homeworld 1.
But anyway I can't wait till you get a mod installed. Warlords is supposed to be pretty good, it's a Star Wars mod and has some awesome looking models and textures. In fact I am using their images as reference material for my own Star Wars modelling.
Googled and wikied this game before I left for work this morning. I am very impressed with what I've seen. Might be my early Xmas present for myself. Found a BSG mod for it on ModDb and was astounded at this as well.
These are some incredible pics, FG. May I please be your newest HW2 convert?
I am going to have to install a second operating system (WinXP) on my partitioned hard drive to be able to run Homeworld 2. Win7 doesn't like it and XP Mode doesn't run it either.
Excellent shots, gotta love that lighting.
