Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.
Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.
We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Ladies and Gentlemen! Today, I'd like to congratulate my brother Arsen Bagdasarov (u.s.s.sovereign) with his birthday. He's 25 years old now. He has done so much for the project. The Defence Line would look completely different without his work. He is a texture artist in our team, however, he has created tech trees for game factions, ships abilities (they're still to be scripted) and more. Happy Birthday, Arsen Bagdasarov (u.s.s.sovereign)!

Specular have only a color option. I cann't create specular maps.Hey, I watched the Video, I like it, but
a little thing that I don't like is the strength of specular. I think specular equal Zero for Asteroids are Ok, for Ships specular less than 20 is Ok. The use of Specular is good when you use specular maps, but without maps it isn't good.
Usually, your planets are fantastic.
I can add specular map, but I haven't it. Models have been created by another people. Our team hasn't texture-makers. We can create only textures of planets. I know about alpha channel. Maybe in the future we will create specular map, heightmap and detail mask.If I'm not mistaken, the alpha channel of the image is being used as the "strength" of the specular map; transparent = no specular, opaque = very shiny. See the source dropdown for specular.
Also, if you use a different rendering mode, or a different shader entirely, you might find an option that lets you select a specular map.
There seem to be many nice options for adding easy detail like heightmap and detail mask. Used in moderation, these really help in making things look stunning.
I have only this shader, and shader without specular settings. I'll try to set black, but we need someone how can create specular maps.Hey, I believe you must choose a another Shader, see the red marked area

looks fine. To the Mesh, original is the mesh from Add Moerman's Nova Class.
I edited the mesh and add a bit more details and draw a new texture.
